John Kerry expresses hope over 'life and death issue' of oceans
The Secretary of State sees the future of the seas as a global threat equal to world conflicts, he tells Sky's Adam Boulton.

John Kerry, the man in charge of American foreign policy, is most often seen trying to sort out conflicts between nations around the world.
But since taking office in 2013 this US Secretary of State has devoted much of his personal credibility to trying to raise awareness of another global threat - the seas.
This week, with personal backing from President Obama, Mr Kerry is presiding over his third annual "Our Oceans" conference to counter what he sees as "a security threat, challenge for everyone in the world".
In an interview he told me: "We get 50% of the oxygen we breathe from the oceans; it's a life and death issue."
Mr Kerry cited a range of human activities which have put the oceans "under siege", including: overfishing; marine pollution, especially from plastic, and climate-related impacts from human energy use, such as rising water temperatures, melting ice and increased acidification.
"Of course you can do something about it," he said, insisting that protected zones could help fish stocks to recover.
