Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton's poll numbers dropped dramatically in the Democratic stronghold of Washington, D.C., according to a Google Consumer Surveys poll published Thursday.
Clinton still led Republican nominee Donald Trump by 6 points, at 38 to 32 percent, but her lead fell dramatically in a poll released in the first Thursday of September, where Clinton led by 25 points, earning 48 percent compared to 22 percent for Trump.
The District of Columbia is ranked "safe Democrat" by the University of Virginia's Center for Politics, and statistics site 538, but recent poll numbers could change that determination.
In every election since 1964, the District voted strongly for Democrats, with at least 85 percent voting for Democratic presidential candidates.

D.C. moving South is Northern Virginia which counter-balances the strong Trump support in almost every other part of the state. If No. Va. follows the pattern of D.C., which it should, all of Virginia should fall to Trump.
Unless the D.C. numbers reflect relatively strong support for Trump among the African-American community.

Agreed!! Upstate LOVES Trump and in NYC he will take Queens, Suffolk, Nassau, Staten Island, etc. Trump signs are everywhere in rural Central New York and along the southern tier - (I travel out there every few weeks and have personally seen them).
Panic is setting in. The Queen Of America is going to have a fit over this.
The media will, before this weekend, “find” something on Trump and broadcast it all over the world.

Yes, of course, but if that the case, it’s even better for Trump because Alexandria, Fairfax, Loudoun, and Prince William Counties in No. Va. have sizeable African-American populations, as does the rest of Va.
What about the other 30%?
