The title says it all.
Clearly, money given to PACs stays with the PAC, but what about money donated to Hillary's campaign?
I think she can keep it if she quits, but could she give it to the new nominee?
I can easily foresee months of bickering and indecision while major donors feel fleeced and close their checkbooks.

Hillary burns cash as fast as she takes it in. If she drops out there won’t be much left over. The donors will just shift their donations to the new candidate.
If Hillary doesn’t win, she gets to keep the money for personal use.
If she won, it goes to funding Democrats who would do her bidding.

Bigger question is what happens to the donations to the Clinton Foundation?
Those people are serious and expected some serious quos from President Hillary for their quids to the Clinton Foundation.
If she drops out, the campaign donations will be needed by the Clintons to beef up their security details.
Does she need to declare that as capital gains income and taxed accordingly?
That is illegal (yeah, I know what you're thinking).
The money can be held for a future campaign, donated to other campaigns, or donated to charity.
Can anyone guess which charity they would choose?

They are held in a campaign account. At the time he left Congress, Anthony Weiner had $4.3M in his campaign coffers. That’s what he used to run for Mayor of NYC. Probably raped that account for everything it was worth, too. Lavish apartment, crony jobs, payola kickbacks, paid campaigning, hotels, the works. He never meant to win, IMO.

At most, I'd expect something like Nixon's "Checkers Speech", substituting "money" and "dollars" for "dog" and "Checkers".
When Hillary ran in 2008, there were lots of stories of her campaign stiffing vendors.
And when she and her team ate at a restaurant, they wouldn’t leave a tip.
