VIDEO – Bill Clinton: Rebuild Detroit with Syrian Refugees

Julia Hahn 29 Aug 2016 Washington D.C.340

In a previously little-noticed video from February at the Clinton Global Initiative, former President Bill Clinton suggested that the U.S. use Syrian refugees to rebuild Detroit.

“The truth is that the big loser in this over the long run is going to be Syria. This is an enormous opportunity for Americans,” Bill Clinton said about the Syrian migrant crisis.

Detroit has 10,000 empty, structurally sound houses—10,000. And lot of jobs to be had repairing those houses. Detroit just came out of bankruptcy and the mayor’s trying to do an innovative sort of urban homesteading program there. But it just gives you an example of what could be done. And I think any of us who have ever had any personal experience with either Syrian Americans or Syrian refugees think it’s a pretty good deal.

I've been closely following the refugees push here and in Europe....we don't know even the half of it. The outcry from citizens is too great to be in the open about it so they're bringing them in in greater numbers then they're telling us.

Wait til they start bringing these guys in in droves.....the latest fished out of the waters to the beaches of Italy....they're clearing out Africa too...

What's really ALARMING is the NGO groups are going right up to just 13 miles from the African coast to pick them up! It's nothing more than a shuttle service now.....close to 1,000 in just this bunch in one day!

Those coming fro Africa are illiterate.......no work skills at all and many without the ability to learn. They’re “expecting” the free ride they’ve been promised before leaving their country.

Houses? If they are going to implement real central planning they should go for broke and build efficient structures for housing large numbers of people

He says this because he knows blacks will stay on the Democrat plantation. Its a nice kick in the teeth to them.

They’ll turn Detroit into “New Syria” where it will become a terrorist base with plenty of radical imams. The mosques will be their armories and training centers.

When I was in Detroit in February, we went over to the house I grew up in to see what it’s like there now. All of the curbs have been stolen off the street. Most of my block is vacant houses now. There is no amount of money that could salvage what the Demon-Crats hath wrought in that once fair city of my youth. Syrian refugees my ass. When Israelis hand over towns to Arabs, they are destroyed. Now, Clinton wants Syrians to get Detroit? P!ss on them all.

Exactly!

Clintons only need blacks for their vote and nothing more.

Clinton told Teddy Kennedy that Barry Obama in earlier days would have fetched him his coffee.

My father years ago saw a house near Detroit City Airport that was only being held up by it’s basement window frames. They exist. There’s absolutely close to nothing salvageable or restorable down there. I know, I grew up there, and have been a carpenter, and a plumber/electrician for over twenty years.

My father also owned a nine unit townhouse building constructed in the late 1920’s on Gratiot and Seneca near Indian Village. It had a length of six single car garages with it there. The place had turrets and spires in the manner of a French Chateau when it was built. Through years of housing generations of welfare recipients and extended families, it deteriorated into a nonhabitable state. After the thieves stole anything of value, including the wonderful weathervane of a gentleman in tails wielding a telescope looking into the distance, they stole the bricks off of the Gratiot side of the building. That’s Detroit for you.

Sharpton: Clinton ‘Coffee’ Remark About Obama ‘Disturbing’
Published January 11, 2010 FoxNews.com

The Rev. Al Sharpton on Monday said he was disturbed by condescending remarks reportedly made by former President Bill Clinton about Barack Obama during the 2008 campaign.

Sharpton was referring to a passage in the new book, “Game Change,” which recounts the conversation Clinton had with the late Sen. Ted Kennedy when he was trying to convince the liberal lion of the Senate to endorse his wife for president.

“A few years ago, this guy would have been getting us coffee,” Clinton told Kennedy, according to the book — a comment that angered Kennedy, who later endorsed Obama.

Sharpton, speaking on Fox News, defended Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid over a passage in the book in which he said Obama doesn’t have a “Negro dialect” unless he wants one. But the reverend would not give Clinton such a pass for his remark.

“I think that’s far more disturbing because this is someone seeking to stop Mr. Obama’s campaign and making a direct reference — I don’t know the context in which he said it — but that is far more disturbing to me than even the comments that were made by Mr. Reid,” Sharpton said.

Sharpton and other civil rights leaders last took on Clinton during the Democratic presidential primaries, after the former president compared Obama’s win in the South Carolina contest to Jesse Jackson’s victories in the state two decades earlier. Sharpton brought up the South Carolina flare-up Monday in discussing the “coffee” remark.

“If someone said that he would have been getting us coffee like that in the context they said he said it, that would be very offensive to me, and I would definitely take Mr. Clinton on as I did in South Carolina,” Sharpton said.

He said Clinton has not yet called him over the report, “So I guess I’ll have to make the call.”
