Donald Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway suggested her candidate was performing better than polls show because "undercover Trump voters" are afraid to publicly express their support for the Republican nominee.
"Donald Trump performs consistently better in online polling where a human being is not talking to another human being about what he or she may do in the election," she told the UK's Channel 4.
Conway added: "It's because it's become socially desirable, if you're a college-educated person in the United States of America, to say that you're against Donald Trump."

Donald Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway suggested her candidate was performing better than polls show because "undercover Trump voters" are afraid to publicly express their support for the Republican nominee. If they are afraid to show support when called by a pollster then how can she be sure they'll have the courage to show up at the voting booth?
To: Lower Deck
Currently, voting is still respected as private. This may be a luxury, but it ought to be used.

.. how can she be sure they'll have the courage to show up at the voting booth? Cuz that's the day the shy ones get to show up and say FU! without fear of reprisals.

I agree....There are a lot of "silent" Trump voters.
Polls feed an agenda.
For the Dems, it's all about money and power....not the American People.
Term limits need to be put in place....limiting that growth of money and power.

I have no landline. Don’t answer a phone number I don’t recognize. I ain’t ever getting polled. I think there are a lot of stealth Trump voters here in PA.

To: Lower Deck
Do you honestly believe that your phone number isn’t cross referenced to a voting list? Puh-leeze!

When they talk to you on the phone and you respond you get on call list and those lists become public info.

I believe there is “some” validity to this.
I think this effect is worth about 3-5 points in Trump favor, which would put Trump in the mid 40’s (44-45) currently with Hillary in the low 40’s (41-42).
But there are still about 10%+ who are still undecided about Trump.
I don’t believe anyone is still undecided about Hillary.
The debates will decided this decisively.
