Obama the Frightened Child
American Thinker ^ | August 9, 2016 | Richard F. Miniter

Posted on 08/09/2016 2:00:54 PM PDT by Kaslin

As a youngster at bedtime, I remember being immensely entertained, and more than a little frightened, listening to the opening lines of Kipling's "A Smuggler's Song":

If you wake at midnight, and hear a horse's feet, Don't go drawing back the blind, or looking in the street, Them that ask no questions isn't told a lie. Watch the wall my darling while the Gentlemen go by ...

"Smuggler's" is all about smuggling in nineteenth-century Britain, but its theme is that children best turn their head to the wall when something scary seems to be going on outside in the dark.

A lot of fun. Even today, when you have to explain many of the antiquated terms to a child.

But never in the long history of this poem would you have expected to find its theme parading around as the ruling principle of an American president, as it does in Barack Obama's administration – so much so that it should be emblazoned on the lecterns he lectures us from, embroidered on the $12,000 designer dresses his wife tries to impress us with, and even escutcheoned on the golf carts he waves to us peasants from.

"Look away." "Pull the blanket over your head." "Close those eyes real tight now."

Winning in 2008 was impressive.

But winning in 2012 with 8% unemployment (13% actual), surging food prices, $4 gasoline, Obamacare, Benghazi, and trillion dollar deficits to eternity was REALLY IMPRESSIVE.

Axlegrease and Plouffy are truly genius guys.

McCain was weak and old. Romney was aloof and weak. Trump?

It played a part certainly.
But you have to get close first to cheat to win.
That alone was spectacular.

“Too close to call” = “The fix is in, please stand by.”

I have other "choice" words to describe 0bama.

But don't go by me!

I’m not sure he legitimately won the 2008 election. I am CONFIDENT he did not win the 2012 election. A forensic analyst looking at the election data could give you 99.9% odds on that.

Only a few things motivate 0vomit:

1. Gay sex
2. Drugs
3. Hatred (for whites, straight people, Americans, successful people, Westerners, flyover country, Israel, NATO allies, Christians, .... )
4. Desire to appear intelligent (he is not) which includes reading from the teleprompter, giving speeches that other people have written for him, opining on things of which he knows nothing (”The police acted stupidly.”), talking down to people, claiming to have written books which were ghostwritten (since he is unable to string together a coherent sentence, particularly if it involves matching verb to subject), raising himself up and excusing his lack of accomplishments by putting down those who have actually been successful (”You didn’t build that.”). He knows he was put in all the positions he’s been in and it makes him defensive. Post Turtle Syndrome.

I’m not sure what order I’d put those in and I’m not sure if fear even makes the list.
