If Obama cancels the presidential election, who will stop him?

Many of you have heard the conspiracy theory that Black Lives Matter and other paid thug protest groups will cause so much chaos in the streets that Obama will use it as an excuse to cancel the presidential election and remain president. I do not think that will happen.

However, I asked my wife Mary a rhetorical question: "If Obama did cancel the election, who would stop him?" Folks, the terrifying answer which we all know is "no one." For eight years, even after we gave Republicans control of the House and Senate, the GOP has allowed Obama to break the law and ignore the Constitution at will. Congress has ignored their power of the purse and funded everything Obama has decreed. Senate majority leader Republican Mitch McConnell said that no matter what Obama does, impeachment is off the table.

Uh, that would NOT be a good plan. But, who would put anything out of the realm of possibility with this clown? Declaring a "national emergency" would be easy enough for him to attempt and it would put the govt in control of EVERYTHING. Implementing it would be a whole 'nother story. As far as impeachment, well that's NEVER been an option cause it would racis'.

The states hold the election, not the Feds. Open revolt would ensue: DC is easily accessible and is not very big.

If this little piece of sh!t were to try that the Founders left us a very specific remedy for just such a situation. It’s called The Second Amendment

Who will stop him? The President of the Reorganized United States, Donald Trump.

Yawn.

There are 50 state elections, and none of them are under the authority of the Executive Branch. Neither is the Electoral College and Congress, who complete the process.

This is an interesting situation...I have wondered about it quite a bit lately...

We have no one in the Supreme Court that would stop him, you know RINO RYAN and Turtle face wouldn’t do anything, the V.P. wouldn’t...neither of the candidates could...

I think our only hope would be the Military would ‘man up’, take off their ‘pink laced panties’ and show their balls and back bones and take over the Country for the people, allow the elections to continue until we vote in a Candidate for POTUS...or the American People could take control and the majority of that would be for Trump, so I don’t know, just MHO....

Although this is a national election the mechanisms for conducting it are entirely under the control of the states. Republican run states would ignore such an order. Democratically run states would ignore it because it would disenfranchise their voters and the downstream impact of that might damage them much more than losing a presidential election.

The Framers were really smart in the way they designed the government. However, they never in their wildest nightmares envisioned a president who was anti-American. They probably thought the voters were too smart to ever elect such a man. The basic design of the system they created, however, is sound and will function as intended.

The US military has about 2.5 million in uniform, plus federal police numbers maybe 20,000.

There are 18,000,000 registered deer hunters. This mumber does not include collectors, prepers, or TEA PARTY people.

I say the odds are in our favor.

So, no, Obama isn’t crazy.

Good question. The answer is easy. The U.S. Constitution. Unfortunately, the jerks living in this country these days don’t have the courage to demand that the government follows the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. They prefer to leave enforcement of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights up to the very people who are violating those documents. The U.S. Government.

A citizenry that would allow such a thing is a citizenry that would richly deserve everything that followed.

Okay, so the states elect say Trump and 0bozo refuses to step down; how will he be removed from office? Maybe the SS would since they then would be required to protect the president elect?

However, they never in their wildest nightmares envisioned a president who was anti-American.

Sure they did, that is why we have the natural born citizen requirement to be eligible to be President. A requirement this man does not meet though.

When a new president is elected, the old president no longer has the power of the Chief Executive. In other words, he is no longer Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces. It would not even require a "mutiny" to refuse his orders. In fact, it would be mutiny if they DID.

So any concern about the military backing up odingus is misplaced.

Not to mention, this lame excuse for a president hasn't exactly endeared himself to the military hierarchy, and certainly not to the ranks.

It would bring a truly Massive Lawsuit that would most likely go to the Supreme Court!

I thought he wanted to run the U.N. but then on the other hand, did Bill Clinton want that position? Oh that’s right, he’s going to run the ‘economy’ for Hillary...ROFL!!!

Impeachment only works if there are enough votes in the Senate for Removal and only if the Vice President is not even worse.
