Iranian Video Of “Hostages for Pallets of Money” CNN and Washington Post Claim Doesn’t Exist

Shortened title.

Full title: Here’s The Iranian Video Of “Hostages for Pallets of Money” CNN and Washington Post Claim Doesn’t Exist

This is a great example of the current state, and competence, of American Journalism. Worse yet, this example shows the U.S. Secretary of State, John Kerry, didn’t even know what’s going on, and Vice-Presidential Candidate Tim Kaine also joins the crew of the clueless.

CNN and The Washington Post are both making an absurd attack Donald Trump story out of the most simple and easy to prove claim.

Just had a discussion with a liberal associate from a job situation years ago and she is fine with everything going on. She simply can not see that there is a problem and also says we should be inclusive in regard to the Syrian refugees being settled here. In fact, she said we should open the borders and let them all come in. She said all the Presidents have meddled in the elections and have made similar comments to those made by Obama against Trump. She said the money given to Iran for hostages stems back to 1979 and is money that belongs to them. That woman's mind represents a completely twisted, distorted liberal Democrat view. They can NOT see that anything their side does is wrong. That would have to include murder of conservatives, be my guess. Nothing the liberal, leftists could do would dissaude them from the view that they are holy.

I have come to the conclusion that almost all of the people on the leftist, liberal side are blinded by their sin causing their thought process to break down so they can no longer analyze, evaluate and come to the right conclusion about much of anything. This nation is going to be destroyed with that type of thinking and the Godless side is in total denial.

I have to admit I find the concept of pallets of currency being used instead of an electronic transaction to be odd. Is there some advantage to a pallet of money (maybe less accountable/traceable)?

I honestly don’t know.

In John Kerry’s case, he wanted “Plausible deniability” from the first.

Hell, some $6 BILLION was long unaccounted for in the State Department books. When it was finally revealed most of it went to payment of bribes and various “administrative” activities, the books were “settled”.

The bean counters are on holiday over there.

I had the same conversation, with exactly the same results. When a person can’t see that a government delivering $400 million in cash to a rogue state, like a sleazy bag drop, is a problem, there is no room for further discussion.

Also, aren’t the Iranians supposed to be printing greenbacks to try to undermine the US currency? If they are doing this to humiliate the USA for propaganda purposes (I only heard a rumor they were, and that was a while back) why wouldn’t they just use a pallet of their own counterfeit bills to do it?

When you think about it, what is the US going to be able to say about it? Those are Iranian counterfeit bills, not ours (or something like that)?

I could be mistaken, but I believe there was a time in history when open counterfeiting of the currency of another country was an act of war.

To answer your question:

Current US law prohibits making a payment of this nature in US Currency.

So always being willing to lie awake till 3AM to find new ways to skirt the Constitution and our laws, the Obama Administration apparently made this payoff with stacks of FOREIGN CURRENCY (Swiss Francs, Euros, Australian Dollars....I’m not sure what).

The wire transfer would have originated in US dollars, and thus likely would have broken the law.

And I’m guessing the Iranians did not fully trust Bitcoin.

It was pallets of foreign currency delivered at night in an unmarked plane.

The hostages were not released until the plane arrived and the Iranians received the money.

It can be easily washed and kickbacks handed out. Give it a week then audit the Clinton Foundation. I bet there will be a very large donation from some obscure mid east oil sheikh.

WOW! This is all over the news! NOT!

TRUMP says Muslim woman didn’t speak and a solid week of headlines trashing Trump despite total vindication!

Are Democrats really that stupid that they can’t see what is going on? Why do only conservatives get the whole picture?

Why do only conservatives get the whole picture?

Because sadly the rest of America is still under the spell of the mainstream media.

Either Trump finds a definitive way to punch through to them NOW, or all is lost.

I understand the situations completely. Mine was similar with the reaction being a slight shrug and a bored voice saying, “They all do it.”

Par for the course. The Obama administration (and Hillary) can make a claim that an internet video was the cause of the Benghazi attack and the MSM buy it and report it as fact when its demonstrably untrue; likewise they can claim there is no internet video documenting the pallets of foreign cash delivered to Iran exists and the MSM reports Trump’s claim must be a lie when the existence of the video is demonstrably true. Just more of the same, the MSM playing lapdog to the blatant lies of this administration and Hillary.

Your friend can make the argument that the Shah of Iran paied the US for weapons which were not delivered. My point is not that discussion.

US Courts have awarded some $43.5 billion in damages to Iran’s victims and their families, all of which has gone unpaid.

https://medium.com/@RepMeehan/iran-owes-victims-of-its-terror-43-billion-547d6376bc4a#.2ix603t4m

House Passes Legislation Requiring Iran Pay the $43 Billion It Owes Its Terror Victims

So the question is why return money to a country which owes money to US Citizens?

Obama confirmed they paid cash and explained a little bit on the why.

"The only bit of news that is relevant on this is the fact that we paid cash," Obama said. Restrictions on U.S. banking relationships with Iran mean "we could not send them a check, and we could not wire them the money."
