Take time out to let LEOs know you stand with them against BLM

I wanted to poke everyone into a small bit of local action. I also ask that you spread this to others, asking them to do the same.

What I'm asking is for you to take one minute out of your schedule and call your local police or sheriffs office (non-emergency line, of course) and let them know that in the face of all the anti-police rhetoric, violence directed at officers, and riots focused on law enforcement (encouraged by the WH and the BLM)...

let them know that the VAST majority of this country stands behind them and supports them.

It's a tough enough job without being vilified by the press.
often times it's thankless ... well, it doesn't have to be.

not this weekend.

time to take a stand against the cop killing anti-Americans and their leaders.

voicing your support is the first step.

Great idea. First thing in the morning. Well, second thing after Church.

Thanks. I did something small and local, but if thousands of us do the same, all over America, maybe we can give some encouragement to our LEOs.

God speed to our police, who truly are the thin blue line between us, and lawlessness and chaos.

Good idea, just be careful in your approach. They are liable to be a tad nervous right now.

I do this on a regular basis..whenever I see a law enforcement professional or a veteran I thank them for their service, buy their Gas if they are at the pump, annonymously oick up their lunch tab etc. Locally I’ll stop by my fire department or police department anonymously and drop off a bag of ground coffee or some nice pastries or even just a box of donuts... just something to let them know I’m thinking of them and I appreciate all that they do for me and my small town.

Best way to thank them, in the long run, is to make sure Hillary winds up in prison, instead of the White House.

Exactly . Early Friday morning I was running errands ( San Antonio ) and wanted to pull over and express solidarity with them . I was afraid they might think I was a bad guy approaching . I wouldn’t blame them .

All,

Handshakes, kind words of encouragement, cards we can display are great morale boosters. Food to the station, not the best idea, appreciated but most likely will be trashed if the officers do not know you personally. You just cannot trust where it comes from so please don’t spend money on food.

Some of the best conversations and ice breakers I have had was when a random stranger just walked up and said, “I just wanted to thank you for what you do.”

RE: food - Would ordering the pizza place in town that delivers to send over a stack of paid for pizza be out of line?

:-D

Around Easter time, Darlin and I bought a big box of saltine crackers and a big hunk of cheese with wrapper sealing it, and a big box of super market baked cookies and dropped them off at our tiny fire station for consumption by both our firemen and the patrol officers who had to work during the holiday.

It was so heart warming. Such very special people. And such a little thing to do.

We had been motivated to do that because one morning I received a call from our fire station. They asked to see if everything was ok. I told them yes, all was well - Why?

Well, you called us!

I was mystified, but realized I had probably “butt dialed” them. We laughed and I thanked them profusely, and apologized for the error.

I was so moved at their caring to follow through on a call which had been a potential emergency from their perspective. I knew it before but that confirmed that I and my family are in very good hands.

Luckily in my small towns’department the food is consumed...our LEO’s know many of us by name and/or face although “annonymously”delivered (o just hand it to ibe of our officers)....they take the delivery in person, they know who I am without me saying and the Chief even sends a thank you note which is totally unexpected! Lovely!.
