Leading climate doomsayer Michael Mann recently downplayed the importance of climate change science, telling Democrats that data and models “increasingly are unnecessary” because the impact is obvious.
“Fundamentally, I’m a climate scientist and have spent much of my career with my head buried in climate-model output and observational climate data trying to tease out the signal of human-caused climate change,” Mr. Mann told the Democratic Platform Drafting Committee at a hearing.

I remember the emails that uncovered the despicable behavior of this zealot colluding with other zealots to suppress contradictory science and debate. As a researcher myself I sent an email to PSU regarding that revelation and urging them to bring this charlatan to account.
The reply from their PAO began with the line “Dear Citizen of the Globe.” I knew then and there I’d never hire a PSU graduate. Never did.
They shouldn’t require anymore funding.

IMO, he’s an ideological zealot who has whored out his scholarship for easy government grants and funding. Further, his scholarship was neither impressive, nor scholarly, IMO.

Sort of tells us what we need to know.
Observations work somewhat OK for weather if all you need to know is if it’s raining. But it doesn’t tell you why.
Even less so for “climate change”... Observations tell you nothing since climate change amounts to hundreds of thousands of weather reports strung back to back.
