The gunman who slaughtered 49 people at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando was a confused, gay man who drank heavily, a man who claims he was his lover for two months told Univision.
Omar Mateen, the deranged Muslim shooter behind the massacre, held a grudge against Latino men he met at the popular gay club because he felt used by them, the man told the network. “I’ve cried like you have no idea. But the thing that makes me want to tell the truth is that he didn’t do it for terrorism,” the man told Univision Noticias anchor Maria Elena Salinas in an exclusive interview on Tuesday. “In my opinion he did it for revenge.”
Mateen even had a tryst with two men, one of whom later revealed he was HIV positive, the man said.

In 2014 a member of Mateen’s mosque reported to the FBI that Mateen had radicalized. His claim was confirmed by the FBI. Feds inaction after that and other red flags is another issue altogether.

It is always easy to point to a different reason. But there isn’t really one. Other people have gripes against coworkers, lovers, people of another race. Yep, that nickname bounced around the bay area back in the 80s and early 90s, along with the term typhoid Larry. We tracked quite a few diseases actually, not just HIV. Male homosexuals have the highest incidence of HIV/AIDS, syphilis, drug-resistant gonorrhea, entamoeba histolytica, chlamydia, herpes simplex II, Chancroid, Drug Resistant TB, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis non A & B. The worst was discovering the incredible number of young boys that were infected by the adult queers, and very rarely, were any ever prosecuted.
On the contrary, gay bars were the only places where I could cut loose and dance without being constantly hit on.
