We know what the recent terrorist attack in Orlando was not. Forty-nine people were killed and fifty-three wounded not due to the violent outburst of a right-wing zealot. The shooter, Omar Mateen, was a second-generation Afghan-American, a registered Democrat, and a fierce critic of American politics and culture. Nor were the killings caused by easy access to “assault weapons.” The vast majority of American terrorist casualties have not involved firearms. Box-cutters and planes, not rifles, led to the 9/11 attacks and some 3,000 deaths. The two Tsarnaev brothers used explosives to kill and maim during the Boston Marathon, a tactic...

In the world of ISIS jihadis, there are no forms to fill out to send in a check to get a membership card. This is not the Sierra Club. When ISIS declared to its target audience of followers in the West that this year’s Ramadan (June 5-July 5, 2016) would be a time of jihad, if they heard the call and agreed with it, under sharia law they had a duty to act. The Orlando shooter heard the call, agreed with it, and therefore had a duty to act, and acted. It’s just this simple. Why was the Orlando shooter...

When Omar Mateen said, “I did it for ISIS,” what did he really mean? We may never know. WFTV, Orlando: U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch has told the gay community “we stand with you” and insisted that investigators are continuing to follow leads on the gunman and mass shooting at the Pulse nightclub… She wouldn’t give specifics about the investigation or a possible motive. She said “people often act out of more than one motivation” and called the June 12 massacre at the gay club “clearly an act of terror and an act of hate.” She added that a motive...

The gunman who slaughtered 49 people at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando was a confused, gay man who drank heavily, a man who claims he was his lover for two months told Univision. Omar Mateen, the deranged Muslim shooter behind the massacre, held a grudge against Latino men he met at the popular gay club because he felt used by them, the man told the network. “I’ve cried like you have no idea. But the thing that makes me want to tell the truth is that he didn’t do it for terrorism,” the man told Univision Noticias anchor Maria Elena...

The alleged gay lover of Orlando nightclub gunman Omar Mateen claims he did the shooting as “revenge” against Latino men. “I’ve cried like you have no idea. But the thing that makes me want to tell the truth is that he didn’t do it for terrorism. In my opinion he did it for revenge,” the man who said he was Mateen’s lover for two months told Univision.

The media has desperately tried to blame anything and everything for the Orlando Muslim massacre. The bloodshed by a Muslim terrorist has been attributed to guns, homophobia, family problems and mental illness. By next week, the media may be blaming global warming and UFOs. But Omar Mateen told his Facebook friends and a 911 operator exactly why he was doing it. Omar killed 49 people as part of the Islamic State’s war against America.

(CNN published an article which is referenced by this writer; what is stated here is NOT the CNN article.) From the outset our research has pointed in the direction that Omar Mateen was committing an act of Jihad terrorism targeting a facility/venue he knew well, Pulse Nightclub. Nothing about the event, or the preparatory behavior prior to the attack, held the appearance of a pure suicide mission. The possibility of getting caught or killed obviously part of the process – but the preferred objective was to exit and escape. Early on it simply appeared he intended to walk in, shoot...

Orlando gunman Omar Mateen identified himself as an Islamic soldier in calls with authorities during his rampage and demanded to a crisis negotiator that the U.S. “stop bombing Syria and Iraq,” according to transcripts released by the FBI on Monday. The partial, printed transcripts were of three conversations Mateen had with the police during the worst mass shooting in modern U.S. history, in which 49 people died and dozens were wounded. Those communications, along with Facebook posts Mateen made before and after the shooting, add to the public understanding of the final hours of Mateen’s life. The first call came...

A police officer in Florida has revealed that Omar Mateen was targeted by an FBI informant in a failed attempt to push him to commit a terror attack. ___ The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation tried to “lure” Orlando shooter Omar Mateen into committing a terror plot in 2013 through the planting of an informant in his life, revelations that raise serious questions about the FBI’s indirect role in shaping the recent Orlando terror attack through its entrapment policies. In an exclusive interview published June 15, Sheriff Ken Mascara of Florida’s St. Lucie County told the Vero Beach Press Journal...

Again and again for much of his life, Omar Mateen let people know he was a violent, dangerous person capable of murder. Repeatedly, he wiggled out of trouble, distracting officials with a beguiling charm, a feigned stupidity or some other tactic. A look at Mateen’s troubled life, based on interviews with officials and people who knew him, as well as documents, reveals that on at least a dozen occasions, beginning when he was in grade school, he gave clues in a public setting that he was capable of mayhem. At age 14, he said he could shoot an AK-47 and...

Several weeks before he massacred 49 at an Orlando gay nightclub, Muslim terrorist Omar Seddique Mateen transferred over his interest in his Florida home to his older sister and Afghan brother-in-law, property records show — an indication the family possibly had some knowledge of his martyrdom plans. Authorities say the fatally shot Mateen clearly was prepared to die in a gun battle with police during the June 12 attack, the deadliest act of terrorism on U.S. soil since 9/11. On April 5, Mateen “quit-claimed” the deed on his Port St. Lucie, Fla., house, signing it over to his sister, Sabrina...

“The lie in the government goes like this: ‘Sunni and Shia hate each other and don’t work together.’ That is wrong on so many practical levels.” So said former FBI agent John Guandolo, and he was right: Shi’ite Iran funds Sunni Hamas and Islamic Jihad, as well as other Sunni jihad groups. As the old Arabic saying goes, “My brother against my brother, but both of us against our cousin.” Sunnis and Shi’ites do hate each other, but they hate Infidels more. There is no reason why Mateen couldn’t have supported both Sunni and Shi’ite jihad groups. But the feds...

News 13's Matthew Gentili said he was staffing the station's phones as the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history unfolded a few blocks away at Pulse. The former deputy director of the CIA fears that the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria could carry out attacks in the United States. CBS News national security analyst Mike Morell told “CBS This Morning” Thursday that this terror group poses both short- and long-term threats to the U.S. “The short-term concern is the Americans that have gone to fight with ISIS and the west Europeans that have gone to fight with ISIS could be trained and directed by ISIS to come to the United States to conduct small-scale attacks,” Morell stated. “If an ISIS member showed up at a...

ORLANDO - The gunman responsible for the deaths of 49 people inside a gay nightclub in Orlando pledged loyalty to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in his last moments, and the Mideast terrorist group quickly and happily took the credit. However, if the statements of several patrons of Orlando's gay scene are proven true, ISIS would probably prefer to take Omar Mateen and throw him off a tower. A U.S. official with knowledge of the situation tells CBS News that club-goers have told investigators that Mateen had been at Pulse numerous previously. Additionally, other media outlets have...

The Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist group's official media wing has released a statement claiming credit for the deadly shooting attack at an Orlando, Florida gay nightclub on behalf of the jihadist organization. In a statement published in the last few minutes, the al-Amaq agency - which functions as ISIS's propaganda and media wing - claimed that "the attack that targeted a nightclub for homosexuals in Orlando, Florida and that left more than 100 dead and wounded was carried out by an Islamic State fighter." 50 people were murdered in the worst shooting spree in American history, and a further 53...

Sunday brought the latest terrorist attack in America, the largest mass shooting in U.S. history, with all its attendant tragedy. Words cannot adequately describe the horror that engulfed the scene of this massacre, caused by one Omar Mir Seddique Mateen. Beyond the human cost, however, also lies the tragedy that Barack Obama, speaking even as it became clear that the murderer was a radical Islamic terrorist, is still unable or unwilling to draw the appropriate conclusions. The president’s remarks omitted any linkages between the cold-blooded murders, the terrorist’s ideology, and the broader international threat that motivated the Orlando killer and...
  • Obama: Orlando shooting was a case of ‘homegrown extremism,’ gunman inspired by online propaganda

ORLANDO — President Obama said the gunman who opened fire in a nightclub here on Sunday appeared to be motivated by extremist propaganda online, saying that authorities have not found any links connecting this attacker with other radical groups. Obama called the shooting a case of “homegrown extremism” on Monday, saying that the gunman appeared to be “inspired by various extremist information that was disseminated over the Internet.” The gunman who carried out the deadliest shooting rampage in American history called 911 during a three-hour standoff with police and pledged his allegiance to the Islamic State, a group also known...

Fox News was told the relationship as well as the Mateen case in general are "very complex" but would not go further, citing the sensitivity of the FBI investigation and classified information. The source said the bomber's return to Florida in 2013 is under fresh scrutiny as well. Mateen’s name surfaced twice for FBI investigators in the run-up to the attack. After the first, full FBI investigation of Mateen concluded in March 2014, his name surfaced two months later in a second, separate FBI investigation of American suicide bomber Moner Abu-Salha -- who drove 16 tons of explosives into a...

Just watched the local Fox Miami station. It ran a story about how some people survived the shooting. One of the people was on Anderson Cooper's show. He was in the bathroom with the Muslim terrorist. Guy says the Muslim terrorist told them to turn off their cell phones and not talk. But then he says the Muslim terrorist said the reason he was killing people was because the US was bombing his people, and the USA needed to stop doing that.
