MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. — Police in Martin County, Florida arrested a woman who they said threw a rubber snake at deputies following a chase and crash in which she intentionally tried to hit a department vehicle. The sheriff’s office says a driver was pulled over just outside of Indiantown on May 18, but the driver ended up taking off and trying to run down a deputy on their department-issued motorcycle. “The MCSO deputy on the motorcycle was able to jump off of the bike before being struck,” the department wrote in a Facebook post. Investigators say the driver, identified...

When a man allegedly drove away from the scene of a 2018 fender-bender, a Seattle police officer told one of the man's friends that the crash left a woman in critical condition, a police watchdog says. The woman "might not survive," the officer added, according to a report from the Seattle Police Department's Office of Police Accountability. But the story about the woman's condition was all a trick -- a ruse to flush out the driver, the report said. The OPA says the driver's friends reported that he grew worried in the days after the crash, thinking that someone possibly...

SOFIA, Bulgaria -- A television journalist has been raped and murdered in Bulgaria's northern town of Ruse, prosecutors and a minister said Sunday, in a case that has shocked fellow journalists and sparked international condemnation. The body of 30-year-old Viktoria Marinova was found on Saturday close to a jogging path by the Danube, Ruse prosecutor Georgy Georgiev said. The death was caused by blows to the head and suffocation and most probably occurred in broad daylight, he added. "Her mobile phone, car keys, glasses and part of her clothes were missing," Georgiev said, adding that prosecutors were probing all leads...

The gunman who slaughtered 49 people at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando was a confused, gay man who drank heavily, a man who claims he was his lover for two months told Univision. Omar Mateen, the deranged Muslim shooter behind the massacre, held a grudge against Latino men he met at the popular gay club because he felt used by them, the man told the network. “I’ve cried like you have no idea. But the thing that makes me want to tell the truth is that he didn’t do it for terrorism,” the man told Univision Noticias anchor Maria Elena...

Here's what Trump said: “Leave it the way it is. North Carolina, what they’re going through with all the business that’s leaving, all of the strife — and this is on both sides. Leave it the way it is.” He continued, “There has been so little trouble. And the problem with what happened in North Carolina is the strife and the economic — I mean, the economic punishment that they’re taking.” (1) Where exactly, did Trump stand up for the rights of male perverts and trannies to take a whiz or go #2 alongside with or do worse things to...

Ted Cruz on Wyoming win: "This is how elections are won in America." Once again, voters are not represented in the process. Instead, "votes" for the nominee are gained by backroom politics. Another corrupt process by the GOP establishment. From Fox News: Ted Cruz on Saturday won all 14 delegates in the Wyoming GOP convention -- a relatively small number but enough for the Texas senator to declare victory and keep GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump from securing the nomination. “We are likely to have a battle in Cleveland to decide who is the nominee,” Cruz told party members before...

Climate change is a hoax developed as part of a secret plot by the United Nations to undermine democracies and takeover the world, a top adviser to Tony Abbott, Australia’s prime minister, has warned. Maurice Newman, the chief business adviser to the prime minister, said the science showing links between human activity and the warming climate was wrong but was being used as a “hook” by the UN to expand its global control. “This is not about facts or logic. It’s about a new world order under the control of the UN,” he wrote in The Australian. “It is opposed...

In Making Gay Okay, Robert Reilly says the ascendancy of men-who-have-sex-with-men (MSM) started with Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s victory over Aristotle and that once philosophy fell the triumphant march through the institutions was quick and maybe even inevitable.Reilly explains that the debate centers on the question of what is natural and not, and how to distinguish between right and wrong. He describes how the Greeks fell in love with reality when they discovered nature and that the purpose of things was knowable and unchangeable even by the whim of gods. The author writes, “A dog wagged his tail because that was the...

[Prefatory notes] † Defining and using terms in this debate is fraught with difficulties. Gay can be a political term of the sexual left. Many consider homosexual to be pejorative. Then there is “same-sex attracted.” I am using “gay” out of deference to the good people I am writing about. †† Homophile was the term used for gay groups in the 1950s and 60s, prior to the birth of the modern gay rights movement. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -...

Not caring about what happens to gay men is like not caring about prison rape. Prisoners are our brothers, too, and so are gay men. We must care deeply about the abuse of our brothers in prison and we must care deeply about the lives led by our gay brothers. Prison rape seems a world away from us, a subject we try not to think about, yet it is rampant, dehumanizing and deadly dangerous. In the same way, we avert our gaze from the lives led by gay men. Certainly ignoring the lives of gay men is what the paladins...

For computer users, a few mouse clicks could mean the difference between staying online and losing Internet connections this summer. Unknown to most of them, their problem began when international hackers ran an online advertising scam to take control of infected computers around the world. In a highly unusual response, the FBI set up a safety net months ago using government computers to prevent Internet disruptions for those infected users. But that system is to be shut down. The FBI is encouraging users to visit a website run by its security partner, http://www.dcwg.org , that will inform them whether they're...

Imagine thousands of government employees reporting to work each morning at their government offices and then doing no government work. They use government workspace, government telephones and government computers, all while working on projects unknown and unidentified to their government employers. They receive hefty taxpayer-funded salaries, promotions, bonuses and benefits, plus generous government pensions when they retire—all without doing any work on behalf of the taxpayer. Instead, they work as paid political operatives for powerful government unions. Welcome to the common practice of "official time." Sometimes called "release time," it's a mechanism by which the government pays union officials to...

Cash is the best-selling investment sector for October as investors shun stock markets. Cash saw the largest inflows of all the investment sectors last month, as fear over the eurozone crisis caused cautious investors to shun the stock market. More than £26.7m was put into cash last month – with investors sheltering £12.9m directly through the platform. The second most popular sector was the Cautious Managed sector, revealing that even...

I fleetingly touched on this point in a previous post, but it's important enough to merit its own item. The MSM is reporting President Obama's newly articulated support for state-led alternatives to his healthcare law as if it's a major concession to post-partisan consensus. It's nothing of the sort, as CATO's Michael Cannon incisively describes: The New York Times reports: Seeking to appease disgruntled governors, President Obama plans to announce on Monday that he supports amending the 2010 health care law to allow states to opt out of its most burdensome requirements three years earlier than currently permitted.[CATO again]: It's...

Says Iranian deal is a maneuver to prevent agreement on sanctions. The Israeli government described the latest Iranian nuclear deal as a trick designed to prevent the imposition of UN Security Council sanctions. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu met with the "Septet" of seven key ministers on Tuesday, to discuss Israel's response to the Iranian nuclear fuel reprocessing agreement, brokered by Brazil and Turkey. Netanyahu instructed ministers not to make any public pronouncements before they had agreed a united response. Ministers concluded that the latest agreement is a maneuver to prevent the UN Security Council from agreeing on sanctions. They concluded...

Competitiveness: The president spent Tax Day reassuring Florida voters that money will keep flowing to NASA. But in space as well as on Earth, we'll be an unexceptional nation. In space, no one can hear you scheme. President Obama's speech at the Kennedy Space Center will never be confused with President Kennedy's clarion call in 1961 to send an American to the moon within a decade. Rather it was an admission that we will now boldly go where no one wants to go.

Now that lid’s been blown off on the Anthropogenic Climate Change Hoax, with the release of the Climategate documents and emails, how much longer will “They”, meaning national leaders throughout the world, including our own, US President Barack Obama, allow the rouse continue?

A lot of colorful phrases are associated with World War II. Like, "Nuts!" -- one American commander's defiant response to German surrender demands. Or, "Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition," attributed to a U.S. Navy chaplain during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. But here's another one, appropriate for this season. Trick or treat! The trick was setting up phony, inflatable tanks, trucks and artillery under cover of darkness. Then generating some ersatz radio traffic between units and commanders. Igniting flash canisters mimicking the glare of cannons firing. Erecting loudspeakers and playing the pre-recorded sounds of troops and vehicles...
