I’m not a Toomey fan, but Santoroum was far from kicked to the curb here in PA. He was up against a tough opponent when he lost his seat (that lazy moron Casey is living off his family’s name ... his father was an extremely popular Dem governor ... his son cashed in on that ... consider his seat a lifelong appointment).
Moreover, the GOP here in PA completely bailed on him and Arlen Spector stabbed him in the back after Rick endorsed him in the previous PA Senatorial election.
Last but not least, the 2006 midterms were a wave election for the liberals. Rick is a staunch social conservative. Add all of that up and you get a 20 point shellacking in a left of center (thanks to Philadelphia and most of Pittsburgh) state. Casey barely had to run ads in major markets.
The likely opponent of Toomey is going to be a gun grabber that makes Toomey look like the NRA chairman. After this stunt he pulled today, he may as well save the campaign funds and resign. He lost his base today if this news is true. He’ll get walloped regardless of any coattails Trump might have.
Rand and Cruz should join the filibuster to troll and demonize the filibuster movements on the senate floor.
