The sharp spike in homicides and shootings in Baltimore City since the unrest sparked by Freddie Gray's death in police custody last year has left police and prosecutors scrambling to contain the violence. Many of the people involved in such crimes are well known to police, who are frustrated by their inability to bring them to justice or secure convictions carrying lengthy prison terms. Why is it so hard for the authorities to get such people off the streets — and keep them off?

This is why private citizens need to shoot rioters and looters.

If people want endless riots all they have to do is not defend themselves.

Because the Baltimore mayor thinks that arresting black criminals is racist.

Affirmative action for criminals, that might possibly be a reason.

Maybe if the dishonest media didn’t call a riot “the unrest” ....

“Why is it so hard for the authorities to get such people off the streets — and keep them off?”

It might have something to do with having an incompetent and a criminal residing in 1600 Penn.! Same person has permeated the judicial system with bleeding heart liberals.

I’ll guess drive by policing because cops are terrified to stop crime proactively.

We have allowed this, no deterrent, no jail, no nothing. Blacks in this country can now safetly loot in cases like this and never be held accountable

The conviction rate for blacks in Baltimore City is less than 5% when tried by a black jury. In Baltimore County, it's more like 70%. They call it racial jury nullification.

The cops don't even bother making arrests. Why white people still live in this hell hole is astounding.

In a way it’s tribal law. Whatever the tribe comes to a consensus to do, is ipso facto deemed right.

The US Constitution forbids leaving a jurisdiction this way. However this is not going to be a thing that our modern Uncle Sam is going to care about.

What needs to be done in such a power vacuum is like unto missionaries bringing the gospel to savage jungle tribes.

Police too afraid to police, and criminals emboldened by this state of affairs.

Iow, progressivism.

“... their inability to bring them to justice or secure convictions carrying lengthy prison terms. “

Because they are - knowingly or not - instruments of the revolution. Anarchy and Chaos are tools used to bring down the system.

“Anarchy and Chaos” is also a good name for a band. Dibs on that.
