‘The Atheist Delusion’: Ray Comfort’s Masterpiece
Townhall.com ^ | June 5, 2016 | Matt Barber

Posted on 06/05/2016 6:17:26 PM PDT by Kaslin

Those who deny the existence of their Creator are delusional.

This is not an insult. It’s not a personal attack. It’s not a pejorative.

It’s a fact.

They’re also “fools.”

God’s Word declares, “The fool hath said in his heart ‘there is no God'” (Psalm 14).

When the Creator calls God-deniers “fools,” He’s not saying they’re stupid clowns. Merriam Webster defines “fool” as “a person lacking in judgment or prudence.”

Psalm 19:1 observes: “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.”

Romans 1:20 likewise notes, “For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.”

Yet excuses they make.

In view of the everlasting consequence of carrying God-denial to the grave, such excuses exemplify a distinct “lack in judgment or prudence.”

It’s foolishness.

My friend Ray Comfort is founder and CEO of Living Waters. He’s a best-selling author, movie producer and co-host (with actor Kirk Cameron) of the award-winning television program “The Way of the Master,” seen in 200 countries.

Recently, Ray contacted me and sent me a review copy of a new documentary he’s releasing this summer called, “The Atheist Delusion: Why Millions Deny the Obvious.” He asked me to watch it and give him some feedback. My only regret is that I waited so long to do so. To say the film is powerful is a gross understatement.

“Ray, please forgive me for not getting back to you sooner,” I responded. “I’ve just had a chance to finally watch this. I’m a 260-pound former professional boxer and ex-cop who’s sitting here bawling like a baby. This is, bar none, the most compelling and comprehensive piece of its kind. I guess I can’t even say ‘of its kind’ because it’s totally unique. I’ve never seen anything so comprehensive. It’s visually stunning, winsome, compassionate, intellectually unassailable and moving to the extreme. Somehow you managed, in about an hour, to make the case, beyond any reasonable doubt, for the Creator God, and bring it home to the Truth of Christ. This is your masterpiece. Let me know how I can help you get it out far and wide.”

I mean it when I say “The Atheist Delusion” is the most persuasive and captivating answer to atheist questions I’ve ever seen on film. Without giving too much away, let me just say that non-believers and believers alike will be moved emotionally, spiritually and intellectually. I have no doubt that many who claim atheism at the beginning of the film, will be left well on their way to admitting His existence and infinite glory toward film’s end.

Back in April I wrote a column first published at WND and later at CNSNews. The piece, titled, “The Big Bang Blows Atheism Sky High: Even Science May Eventually Catch Up to God’s Word,” was then aggregated and featured on the main page of Yahoo News where it went viral. In the column I detailed some of the foolishness inherent within the belief that everything came from nothing – that there is no God – a subject I delve into deeper in my new book, “Hating Jesus: The American Left’s War on Christianity.”

“The manifest intentionality and fine-tuning of all creation reveals design of breathtaking complexity,” I wrote. “The Creator is of incalculable intelligence and infinite splendor. As I see it, atheism provides a case study in willful suspension of disbelief – all to escape, as the God-denier imagines it, accountability for massaging the libertine impulse.”

And so, as does world famous atheist Richard Dawkins, they concoct an idol of their own making – a false god, easy to avoid; a “god” who is “arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully.”

Indeed, it’s been said that the atheist position is simple and twofold: 1) There is no God; 2) I hate Him.

After watching “The Atheist Delusion,” viewers will be left no more wiggle room as to the undeniable question of God’s existence.

All that remains will be to either love Him – or continue hating Him.

They are either willfully ignorant, or just plain ignorant, of the facts of life.

Life does NOT magically spring from inert matter. PERIOD.

It takes Life to create Life.

Of course they will claim their "alien space brothers" created us. Again willfully denying the FACT who created them!

Spent hours today watching nature videos on my new 4K TV, if anyone believes all that beauty just pops out of nothingness, they are profoundly stupid. And in terms of infinity 13 billion 700 million years is popping out in the blink of a cat’s eye. Atheist can’t see beyond their own ego, which usually is the size of the universe.

One Bible passage that atheists need to consider is Luke 17:20-21.

Another passage is Hebrews 11:1.

It takes Life to create Life.

Umm, so where did the first Life come from them?

Something must have come from nothing, whether that something was ordinary life that came from nothing, or God that came from nothing. Now which of the two it is, is debatable, and is not settled because there is not enough evidence for proving either case.

To me, this sort of rhetoric properly invites the time-honored retort: "I'm rubber and you're glue. Everything you say bounces off of me and sticks to you." ... because ... you know ... that's where we are.

The first life came from the LORD.

Where His life came from is unknown to us at this time.

But that's beside the point, which is our universe, planet, and life came from Him, not from nothing.

Jesus Christ: You can't impeach Him and He ain't gonna resign.

One Bible passage that atheists need to consider is Luke 17:20-21.

This one is grist for the atheist mill, taken as obvious testimony, by Jesus himself, that he was speaking in spiritual, not physical terms.

"Neither shall they say Lo here! or lo there!"

What does that mean to you?

Science has lost its luster. It is a shabby, tattered remnant of its former glory. Spend some time browsing and watching what passes for science on youtube; it is pathetic.

Yehova is eternal.

He exists outside of time and space.

He created time and space so that he could create a people for his name.

>> “What does that mean to you?” <<

It means that the “Great men of the Earth” are self-important liars that will always try to claim that God honors them above common men, and he does not.

He will come only for his Bride, and the “great men” will be left wetting their pants when he comes.

"What does that mean to you?"

Although Romans 1:19-20 indicates that the ordered universe reflects God’s qualities, the passages that I referenced in previous post, Luke 17:20-21 and Hebrews 11:1, indicate, to me anyway, that God is neither scientifically provable or disprovable. So when atheists say that there is no God, that is their faithless opinion.

The logical conclusion for an atheist is suicide.

Why exist when life is — in your opinion — ultimately meaningless?

If you choose to live in a world you believe to be meaningless with nothing behind it all, you ain’t got the nads to follow through with your belief and become one with nothingness.

If you knew the author of life you would know that God has life in himself. He is eternal and has always been. All life came from Him.

The reason that you can not understand this is because you are 1/3 dead. Your spirit is dead, though physically and mentally you are alive. The part of you that is able to discern the truth, however, is not so you are blind to everything that has to do with the eternal part of yourself.

So, no matter what evidence is presented to you, you will not be able to fully comprehend that and only what appeals to your physical and psychological self will be seen as “proof”.

It was settled long ago, God created the heavens, earth and all the life that is in it. The evidence is overwhelming, you just refuse to see it.
