Tommy Chong slams Bernie Sanders campaign for rally snub: ‘It was an insult’

Tommy Chong said he was insulted after the campaign for Democratic presidential candidate Bernard Sanders disinvited him to speak just hours before a rally Sunday in East Los Angeles.

The “Cheech & Chong” actor and outspoken marijuana activist told The Hollywood Reporter that the Sanders campaign was happy to have his endorsement earlier this year, but got “cold feet” when it came time to fully embrace his pro-legalization stance.

This is the same man who autographed my Dick Van Dyke Show dvd several years ago when he appeared in Chita Rivera’s Broadway show and was so kind and charming. His daughter wasn’t very nice at all - maybe that’s where he gets his political tips.
