Ted Cruz is taking some time off from the Senate to recover from a brutal presidential campaign.
After returning to Washington last week to work on a defense policy bill, the Texas senator is spending this week back home. He'll miss votes on Zika funding legislation as well as appropriations bills...

I’ll remind you geniuses that Cruz is one of the best conservative voting records in the Senate. Pit the Presidential animosity especially aside now that it is done, and root for him to continue to be a solid Senate vote for our side (yes, yes, I know...TPP was the exception).

Somebody has to wear the pants, word has it, Cruz cannot keep his on.

LOL..... good one.
Auto correct sucks...sorry for the grammatical errors.
Take the whole year Rafael
Or, longer.
Not only that, but I'm sure she wears the pants too.She also has the brains. On paper she is better qualified to be President than he would ever be.
“Probably needs to refresh at Ashley Madison”
ROFL
More time off? How many sessions has he missed since last summer?
ROFL!!! Best post of the day!!!
Who can forget him dressed like Ashley Wilkes at the Kentucky Derby while constituents of his probably were losing jobs.
Well, I could not find the thread where Texas is getting a Cuban wave, link.. so debated which direction to respond.. Could it be that Cruz is the unofficial Cuban, Texas ‘greeter’?
Take all the time you need.
I used to like this guy?
Betcha he’s being shunned and trying to recruit Ryan as his new BFF.
Fashion has never been his forte... he looked like he shopped at the Salvation Army for Derby day. NOT that I am any peculiar fashion person, but, just 'dam.'.
Yeah, he looked strange. I thought it peculiar after his months long absences to then show up drinking mint juleps. But then he’s never exactly been self-aware, has he?
I'll call BS on that: his run for president proves that anything else he did "in the name of conservatism" is bunk — this is because by running for President, even though he isn't qualified he would help establish [more] precedent for ignoring the Constitution and it's requirements.
But even if you only consider the Iran deal, he literally committed treason as defined by the constitution.
I don't want him, or any of those other traitors in any position of power, authority, or influence.
Actually I think he is so self absorbed he literally is incapable of being 'self-aware'. He has the Obama syndrome, entitled... but has yet to figure out how to 'capitalize' on that movement. Now Heidi... she is the brains behind the movement.
Depends on who is not getting along with you. Who our enemies are tells a lot about us.

So if he was removed from the U.S.Senate due to not meeting the eligibility requirements (not a U.S.Citizen), what would that tell you?
By the way, that happened twice in the 19th century. The states they supposedly represented had no say in the issue. The names of the two men were removed permanently by the Senate hierarchy.
I verified this information with the Senate’s own Historical Office five years ago.
Ted’s wrapped pretty tight. He was practically weeping in the latest video of his fare-thee-well tour.
