Not that many begged Ted to run; if he couldn’t keep up with mostly leisurely Senate duties anyway, why run on such a hopeless mission. Yes, I voted for him the March 1 primary.

The *run off* from the Primary election, delivered Cruz the win, with 4% of the Republican vote to beat Dewhurst.
I assume the 4% was compared to the earlier Primary turn out in the spring, where Cruz was able to hold Dewhurst under 50% and unable to avoid a run off.
