Another Obama blunder? I wouldn’t completely rule it out.

Storm clouds rising? Navy ramping up, now the AF. Hmmm... we are behind the 8 ball. Proaction always beats reaction and we are noting but reactive.

Quite frankly, our military is the only department/agency we need. All the others are a waste of money and consume our economy with regulations.

The F-35 is so ****ed up the flyaway costs are now on par with the F-22.

Would they have to buy the tooling back from the Chinese, or is it still around?

Congress actually has a good idea? Guess it happens, once in a great while!

One of my screen savers and favorite pic is the one with the F22 and the Mustang.

We must need a ten year study to study the ten year study.

By 2053, we’ll have three experimental F-22s.

Lockheed must have crossed enough congressional palms to get this going again now that they have bled the F-35 program white without any significant result and now that the export prospects look dimmer by the day. The 35 is not the 16 replacement gold mine they planned for. They have only themselves to blame.

what for? We can’t use the darn things ever since liberals pansified the military with it’s asinine and dangerous ‘social experimentation’ project, and hamstringing the military so that it can’t fight effectively- (Not saying military folks are pansies- just saying that dear leader has made it impossible for you good folks to do your jobs effectively-)

Why do we need powerful aircraft when we’re barred from using it’s firepower?

All-in-all I would like to see that. The F-22 fleet is way to small to be effective in a global level conflict. Couple that with the F-15 fleet they are replacing was first deployed in 1975.

I think the F-22B would have some upgrades like a smart helmet, data linking and AIM-9X integration that would absolutely make it unbeatable for decades to come.

The data linking ability could integrate F-16s and even F-15 as drones in a combined air battle force. That is a cost effective way to keep the 4th gen fighters viable and help boost fleet numbers to levels that are realistic in dealing with future threats.
