Donald Trump hires veteran GOP operative Rick Wiley
Washington Post ^ | April 13 at 3:50 PM | By Philip Rucker

Posted on 04/13/2016 1:24:55 PM PDT by dynoman

The Trump campaign said Wednesday that Rick Wiley — who has more than two decades of experience in state and national politics and most recently served as campaign manager for Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s presidential bid — is joining the operation as national political director.

“Rick is a seasoned political expert with a very successful career in winning elections,” Trump said in a news release. “He brings decades of experience, and his deep ties to political leaders and activists across the country will be a tremendous asset as we enter the final phase of securing the nomination.”

Wiley said in the same release, “Voters are frustrated with the political status quo in our country and are hungry for an outsider to shake up Washington. Donald Trump has energized millions of hard working people across the country with his no-nonsense straight talk and will bring his record of success to tackle the real problems that face our nation.”

The only question I have is why this guy? His leadership with the Walker campaign didn’t turn out so well...

Playing by the rules on the campaign trail is boot camp for playing by the constitution and the law. The rules can be changed but there are rules for that, too.

DT has had 30 years to study the government rules. Too little, waaaayyy too late, in my book.

Doesn’t say much for Cruz that the guy with no ground game cleaned his clock in the Deep South and is poised to do so in the Northeast over the next two weeks. For a supporter of a guy in distant second and on the verge of being mathematically eliminated, you sure do a lot of crowing.

"The only question I have is why this guy? His leadership with the Walker campaign didn't turn out so well."

Wiley didn't have all that much to work with in Walker. He wasn't exactly a ball of fire presidential-wise....and he never came close to catching fire.

The governor has showed a spine fighting many battles in his state.....but he looks like the 97 lb. sun-bather who gets sand kicked in his face by all the big guys at the beach.

That happens and this country could head into the realm of civil revolt or mass boycotts etc. To compound that scenario, half the population would lose any faith and trust they had left in this government and this corrupted election charade. In fact faith in government has rapidly been declining for decades. This would be the final betrayal from my perspective.

The GOP will likely go into obscurity, the same place the Bush dynasty, the Beck’s and the Limbaugh’s et al, are all headed.

Wiley may also know where all the shenanigans happened in Wisconsin.

Your "book" doesn';t count for anything; snookums.

Trump isn't, nor has he ever been a professional pol and he's doing better than those who are.

I’ll vote for Cruz or Trump, but I have no Pollyanna pretenses about 2017.
