TRENTON Gov. Chris Christie is "in his own private hell" over his February endorsement of GOP front-runner Donald Trump, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas said Tuesday.
Appearing on "The Glenn Beck Show," Cruz told the conservative host that Trump seemed to insist on behaving like the famous fictional Mafia don depicted in Francis Ford Coppola's "The Godfather," Michael Corleone.
"The presidency should not be La Cosa Nostra," said Cruz, adding that the real estate tycoon seemed to demand a similar level of "Godfather"-like deference and respect from the governor.
"You know what gets me," Cruz said. "The servility of Chris Christie being forced to call him, 'Mr. Trump.' Chris Christie is a good man."

Wow ... Trump has a multi-year contract to live in the head of Ted Cruz ... for absolutely nothing.
And, again, Cruz doesn’t talk issues. He talks bs.
I used to like Ted Cruz. Now I can’t stand to listen to him.
As usual, Ted Cruz is correct.
As usual, his correct observations earn derision such as “sick dude”
Trump is a deductive thinker - he begins with the goal and works back from there - no wasted motion - only what contributes to the result.— Bill Mitchell (REAL) (@mitchellvii) March 21, 2016
Guys like Cruz are inductive thinkers. They are so obsessed with the ideological front end, the actual result is an afterthought.— Bill Mitchell (REAL) (@mitchellvii) March 21, 2016
What is it with this guy?
Christie is a NJ guy and loves NJ.
He will prosper there assuming he cuts down on the donuts.
Cruz clearly likes TX but the other 56 States are NOT TX.
Whether it’s true or not, and I don’t think it is, Ted Cruz is behaving unprofessionally in a way he constantly accuses Trump of being.
There’s a screw loose in that guy’s head. Now we know why everyone hates him.
Beck and Cruz should get married.
Cruz can’t complete a sentence without Trump in it.
And as usual, I am correct. Only Ted’s hardcore supporters can stand him, of which you are one. Waiting for the rest of your merry band to chirp in.
Cruz is one giant POS. This registered Republican of 52 years is about to switch my registration to Independent after I vote for Trump in the California primary. The not-so-funny part is that early on I was a Cruz supporter.
If Cruz thinks he will get the nomination, he is kidding himself. After the GOPe works their tails off to keep Trump from winning the nomination on the first vote, they will bring up their “compromise candidate” and flush Trump and Cruz down the toilet.
Had he been able to set aside his ego early on in the race, he could have teamed up with Trump for a Trump/Cruz ticket in which case I suspect they would have been elected in November. Now, Cruz will end up with nothing but a huge segment of ticked off registered Republicans. Plus, I suspect he will not even get re-elected to the Senate as just about every member of the Senate on both sides of the aisle hates his guts and will be working against him every way they can.
Preacher Cruz is a self-righteous sanctimonious prick.
And Trump can't complete a sentence.
“Appearing on “The Glenn Beck Show,” Cruz told the conservative host that Trump seemed to insist on behaving like the famous fictional Mafia don depicted in Francis Ford Coppola’s “The Godfather,” Michael Corleone”
Cruz and Glenn Beck criticize Christie and Trump. They say they know everything Christie is thinking and that Christie is “in his own private hell.”
These are provocative statements meant to get a reaction out of Trump and Christie. Cruz supporters can then say Trump is not presidential.
Just like when he used the picture of Trump’s wife, Cruz is trying to get a response that the media can use against Trump.
I hope Trump and Christie don’t respond to this. Just let it go.
Neither Trump or C

Cruz got that handle the old-fashioned way - he earned it.
Teddy is burning his bridges, although he wouldn’t believe it right now. Ted thinks he has the world on a string.
Sometimes that leftover string becomes a noose.
