Sometimes I wonder.
This political season has given us much entertainment from both major parties. Hillary and Bernie for the Democrats, and Trump and Cruz turning in banner performances for the Republicans. Great entertainment, but very little leadership or hope for Americas future.
Aside from her history as one of Americas most corrupt, dishonest and despicable politicians in American history, Hillary will now be widely remembered more for barking like a dog for the whole world to see.
That image, one of the most hilarious and entertaining images ever on display in a national political contest will surely come back to haunt Hillary for years to come, regardless of whether or not she wins the presidency. But an absolute certainty if she does win the presidency!
Madam President, whats your position on Americas economic health ? Arf, arf, arf, arf. Madam President, how about the threat of Russian expansionism ? Arf, arf, arf, arf. The possibilities for our enemies to ridicule Hillary are simply endless.
I can see edited video creations showing up on YouTube for every issue that faces the president and the country. If actually elected, the presidency under Hillary Clinton will become even more of a joke than it has been under Barack H. Obama. Especially if shes wearing an orange jumpsuit and giving press conferences not from the White House Press Room, but from the visiting center at a federal penitentiary.
Picture it: Hillary sitting on the other side of a glass window with phone in hand fielding questions from reporters on the other side of the glass window, with phone in hand. The visual alone is hilarious.
And the fact that she cant seem to dislodge a doddering old closet communist from the Democrat Partys nomination process tells one something about Hillarys favorability among voters even in her own party.
Even though there are many young people feeling the Bern, in large part due to his promises of free stuff for everyone, Bernie is simply an old fool playing to audiences of people obsessed with themselves. The Me-Me Generation. If Bernie were a colonel hed be offering free chicken to everyone!
On the Republican side we have a billionaire businessman who cant keep track of what he says from one day to the next, often times contradicting himself in the same day. Not to mention the countless hours of video footage archived that show him in a much less than favorable light on just about every subject discussed.
His main claims to fame in presidential politics is a promise to build a wall and have Mexico pay for it, and to win, win win. Though hes never been able to articulate how hes going to achieve these goals. Voters are supposed to simply trust him to do it.
Trumps main opponent on the Republican side, Ted Cruz, is a junior senator from the Great State of Texas whose sole achievement during his short tenure in the U.S. Senate was to shut down the government.
His record certainly doesnt include any notable legislative accomplishments. While everyone acknowledges his skills as a debater, merely being able to perform on a stage isnt necessarily indicative of presidential leadership.
And then theres John Kasich. The apparently tone deaf governor of Ohio who seems to think that bragging about his long tenure in Congress is something Republican voters will view favorably, when the reality is that Americans are fed up with career politicians. Maybe thats why hes trailing so far behind the others.
It would seem to me that we Americans deserve so much better than the politicians that weve saddled ourselves with for decades now. But then again when only half the population ever taking the time to vote on Election Day - legal voters that is - and many of those votes are based simply on whether theres an R or a D next to the name, we really only have ourselves to blame.
So maybe we get exactly what we deserve.
Actually we don’t.
I’ve become convinced that something close to a working majority of our population agrees with Bernie.
Once enough of them start voting regularly it’s lights-out.
AMERICANS deserve better.
America, on the other hand, I’m not so sure.
I thin you mean non-working majority, LOL! They sure do love other people's money.
I am thinking now that if Trump or Cruz are denied the nomination, that I am going to vote demorat in every single national election presented to me. I won’t vote for hitlery or the bern, but I won’t vote for the GOP nominee either. I will vote straight conservative on all state level and lower races I can, but if GOPee does this, they need to be destroyed.
My three little dogs were deeply offended by her barking and will not be voting for her.
Yup.
Sadly over the past fifty years America has entered an era of post Christian, neo pagan epicurean decadence. Widespread drug use, fornication, sodomy, pornography, earth and celebrity worship, chronic dependency has become the norm. The vile Obama was not elected and reelected in a political or cultural vacuum. Historically most great civilizations have experienced such a decline. America has always seemed to parallel the Roman experience. What has happened in America once happened in Rome. When Rome entered its terminal decadence, the leaders it spawned were of very low quality. They reflected the values of the population that spawned them. No student od history should be astonished, perhaps wistful and upset, that Hillary Clinton, an inherently dishonest and corrupt woman, very well may become President of the United States.
K Street and the Chamber of Commerce DESERVE to live a few years under a Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren administration.
Then they can come groveling back to us, begging forgiveness.
You had better read what you wrote as you make no sense whatsoever.
..between 50 and 60 million unborn children say no...
That is an outstanding point — you want to feed the creature when it seems to come in handy, perhaps a lesson in what it does when it gets too big to control is in order.
I disagree. The republican state & local committees are just as corrupt as the national RNC. If you really want to change things run for state committee
Was it you who put up the Daniel “even the basest of individuals” bible quote about those God might elevate over a nation? Daniel 4, iirc.
Between abortion, and electing LBJ, Clinton and Obama, we probably deserve God’s wrath.
Instead we get the likes of Trump and Sanders, who tell their followers that the solutions are easy, quick and cheap, and that someone else (who is absolutely Not Them) will be forced to pay for it all.
I am reasonably confident that no one who tells Americans the truth that they need to hear will ever be elected.
