Cruz will not drop out after he is eliminated on April 26th.
The Gateway Pundit ^ | April 2, 2016 | Jim Hoft

Based on current delegate counts and poll numbers Ted Cruz will be mathematically unable to reach the delegate count required for him to win the Republican Presidential nomination. By the end April it will be clear that Ted Cruz has no chance of reaching the 1,237 delegates needed to win the nomination.

Why would any 2nd place candidate in any election drop out when he is going to be in a runoff? It makes no sense....

Silly me, I always thought the GOP was honorable although I should know better after watching 1964 and 1976.

My best friend is a big city girl whose father had a business. She grew up watching political corruption in action and always laughs at me when I talk about fairness. Having said that, she voted for Reagan twice.

To unite the party and have Cruz supporters see him uniting with Trump. It is just like everything I have seen Trump supporters say they wouldn’t vote for Cruz and vise versa. To beat the hildabeast you have to unite if everyone sulls up and goes their own way it is over for this election cycle

Hillary must be laughing her pack mule ass off..

It's pretty funny watching the media reassert its power using the Cruz abomination as its method. We know where the real power still lies.

Cruz wants to treat the Republican voter like Obamacare. What a bastard Cruz is.

Would you have said the same about Reagan in '76 when he ignored calls to get out of the race (for the good of the country) after losing numerous states? Reagan said he wasn't going to leave and would battle all the way to the convention in Kansas City.

Was he also a bastard?

You aren't really that much of an MSM dupe. I guess you are. They're playing you little Cruztards like a fiddle. It's really genius. "We'll take down the GOP with its own Taliban" allied with the most corrupt elements of the party and forget to report that its all financed by a 6 billion dollar tax evader". Pull a shawl over your head like a Delaware Indian.

He did the right thing for the party, and the voters.

Yeah, that worked well.

Why did Rubio drop out? Why did Carson drop out? Why did Jeb drop out?

Cruz should drop out to stop the GOPe from selecting the nominee and to unite the party.

Why is Cruz asking Kasich to drop out?

The question is not whether Cruz can mathematically get the nomination outright. The question is whether he can get more delegates than Trump.

It is the height of whining to expect Cruz to drop out, so that Trump can get a lock on the nomination.

A month ago, Cruz supporters were being told that Trump had a lock on the nomination no matter what. Now they are p’ing and moaning that Cruz isn’t dropping out.

Reagan didn’t get the nomination in 1976 and Ford lost the general election.

Because they weren’t running second and had no chance to win the runoff. Why do you think? What politician in their right mind would drop out of a race that he is running 2nd in before the runoff election???? Bunch of lamebrain people thinking Cruz should quit.

“Even Trump has acknowledged that by threatening riots if he falls short and is denied the nomination.”

You make it sound like Trump threatened that he would be involved in starting riots. He didn’t. He simply predicted there would be riots based on the level of enthusiasm of his supporters.

No, Reagan because wasn’t sleazy like Cruz. Why would I ever think of comparing Cruz with an honorable man?

“Ted Cruz will be one of two people who are eligible to be nominated at the Republican National Convention in July”

Except for that pesky NBC thing. Does anybody believe that the RNC and DNC aren’t in cahoots with documentation to boot his Canadian ass out of the running?

The reality is that Cruz has a path to the nomination after the first ballot—and Kasich’s only hope is negotiating for the VP slot.

Still, that’s a limited difference IMO. Carrying this argument to its logical conclusion, if Trump doesn’t clinch on the first ballot he’d have to drop out too—and the whole deal would be simply handed over to Ryan and the GOPe traitors.
