Cruz will not drop out after he is eliminated on April 26th.
The Gateway Pundit ^ | April 2, 2016 | Jim Hoft

Based on current delegate counts and poll numbers Ted Cruz will be mathematically unable to reach the delegate count required for him to win the Republican Presidential nomination. By the end April it will be clear that Ted Cruz has no chance of reaching the 1,237 delegates needed to win the nomination.

No he doesn’t. Stop making excuses for this slime.

He has undermined the will of the people by stealing delegates in LA and now is trying it in AZ. Good old “Mr. Constitution” apparently has no idea what the spirit of the Constitution really is.

Very sorry I ever, ever supported this jerk.

You got that exactly right. Here is the current standings ...

Results of the Republican Party presidential primaries, 2016
 Donald Trump ... 7,861,671 (37.11%) 752 Primary=18 Caucus=3
 Ted Cruz ....... 5,779,837 (27.28%) 463 Primary= 3 Caucus=8
 John Kasich .... 2,821,264 (13.32%) 144 Primary= 1 Caucus=0
 Marco Rubio .... 3,469,278 (16.38%) 173 Primary= 1 Caucus=2
 Ben Carson ....... 692,693 ( 3.27%) 8
 Jeb Bush ......... 254,515 ( 1.20%) 4
 Rand Paul ......... 56,451 ( 0.27%) 1
 Chris Christie .... 52,679 ( 0.25%) 0
 Mike Huckabee ..... 47,263 ( 0.22%) 1
 Carly Fiorina ..... 35,287 ( 0.17%) 1
 Rick Santorum ..... 15,774 ( 0.07%) 0
 Jim Gilmore ........ 2,671 ( 0.01%) 0

Popular vote percentage inverted ...

 not-Trump ...... 62.89%
 not-Cruz ....... 72.72%
 not-Kasich ..... 86.68%
 not-Rubio ...... 83.62%
 not-Carson ..... 96.73%
 not-Bush ....... 98.80%
 not-Paul ....... 99.73%
 not-Christie ... 99.75%
 not-Huckabee ... 99.78%
 not-Fiorina .... 99.83%
 not-Santorum ... 99.93%
 not-Gilmore .....99.99%

This is pre-Wisconsin but that order will not change from here on out. Most likely the spread will dramatically increase for Trump in every measure. Handing the nomination to anyone not on the top of that list is STEALING it from the voters and giving it back to party hacks who made these decisions in the 19th century and part of the 20th. And we're talking about a substantial increase in turnout of the (R) voters this season. You can not overstate the magnitude of the brazenness of the GOPe action, and therefore that of Ted Cruz himself.

Trying to force the thing to a 2nd ballot is the GOPe goal, which is also now Ted Cruz's goal and that is his egregious crime considering the stakes. Once it goes to a 2nd ballot we get the same thing we had every single election aside from Reagan, we get another designated loser. ( Even if Cruz snookered his way onto the ticket he is also a certain loss due to massive defections of those very voters whose votes he stole, not to mention the nuclear bombs dropped on his head from the (D)ummycrats. Heck, he'd lose even without that help just for being a conservative bible thumper campaigning in the swing states. )

So the real situation is that a vote for Cruz now is a vote for GOPe which gives us Hillary as President. Shortly thereafter they get their leftist scum into Scalia's seat. Let's just cut right to the chase here and note the irony of Ted Cruz the alleged Heller saviour ...

Cruz is working to destroy the Second Amendment.

I suggest everyone ram that little fact right up the butthole of every remaining Cruztard we come across( Cruztard is now perfectly appropriate because they are retarded if they will sacrifice the Second Amendment to fulfill their little TDS obsessive compulsive disorder. ) Cruz has a very tiny window of opportunity now to do the right thing for his alleged country, will he?

It has been amazing to watch Cult Cruz go darkside and endlessly rationalize taking this away from the voters. No man is worth losing his soul over, yet here they are doing exactly that. If Trump was not on the top of that heap I know I would never be caught dead advocating his theft of the nomination. The only logical conclusion is that we have people on "our side" even more despicable than the liberal DUmmie slime we have been fighting since forever.

In short, in this convention, if rule 40 remains in place, the GOPe lose.

I would believe that if Cruz hadn't loaded his campaign with GOPe players and if the GOPe wasn't whole heartedly behind Cruz and if the GOPe wasn't helping Cruz to flip delegates.

Of course he won’t drop out

He is there much like some of his supporters are here which is to stop Trump and hope someone throws him some crumbs or he gets in a better position for 2020

Ted Cruz really wants to be president. I think he feels it’s his destiny

Your scenario does not explain the convention delegate stuffing with all the anti-TRump delegates set to overturn the popular vote in the primaries for TRUMP, and also the anti-sCruz establishment delegates wanting to get to a third ballot to vote for RYAN.

The GOPE will dump Cruz and bet that the Convention riot between robbed TRump and Cruz supporters will force delegates to settle on Paul Ryan, before their room reservations run out.

Address that!

You’re correct and even though I agree with the article over editorializing thread titles is verboten for a good reason

You should editorialize in parentheses

#42 You throw out a lot of Slime and smears. How about backing up your vitriol? Please cite the action taken against the rules or law Cruz used to "Steal" Delegates in LA as you falsely accuse them of.

Donnie thinks he wants to sue? For what? The RULES were on the books BEFORE he added his name to the Ballot. He and his Attorney would get laughed out of the Court romm. That is EXACTLY why the turd blossom hasn't filed suite. Just like his bluster of suing Cruz over ads using Donnie's own words.

Funny thing, I see all you trumpkins spinning in circles hyperventilating about what the RNC MIGHT do at the Convention such as changing the rules and how it is so underhanded.

Out of the other side of your mouth you scream that Donnie needs to SUE to change the Rules for delegates in LA.

How about some honesty? Try that. I'll be easier for you to explain to others....

Rita... that’s the way political parties work.

That's why the outsider who has never run for elective office is the front-runner and has been since July. The majority of Rep voters are disgusted by the political class and their anti-democratic maneuverings. They have been ignoring the will of the people and owe their allegiance to their corporate paymasters. Immigration and trade would never have become issues without Trump.

Trump, Carson, and Cruz (the crusader against the Washington cartel) have amassed 58% of the votes cast and 1,212 delegates to date. The only way the GOPe can thwart the will of the people is at a contested convention where they control most of the delegates after the first round.

It depends on the state they came from and the type of delegate

Crazy no?

So getting 37% of the vote guarantees you the nomination?

Seriously?

Anything else is cheating?

Only to a narcissist bully.

Most of the delegates were bound so long as the person was an active candidate. When the candidate they were bound to stopped being an active candidate, they became free to vote for any remaining candidate. Mr. Trump, Senator Cruz, and Gov Kasich all have an equal opportunity to seek their support but we will not know for sure who they support until they actually vote on the first ballot.

LOL. Tee polls at this point showed that Cater would beat Reagan by 20 points. The polls also show that Bernie beats all the Reps including Cruz, yet the Dems are not being influenced by that at all.

Until both parties select their nominees, I take such polls with a grain of salt. Once Trump trains his guns on Hillary, the polls will change. And we still don't know if the FBI will recommend an indictment against Hillary. Circumstances can change rapidly.

GOPe whole heartedly behind Cruz??? Hardly.

They GOPe danced with everyone else and when all of their darlings failed, they decided to fall in line behind Cruz as a last resort.

True. But, clearly civics is no longer taught in public schools. Rules are a device that serve the Establishment, and the party system itself is now suspect.

My point is that TRUMP has exposed the dark side of power for all of us.

We had hopes of taking over the Establishment GOP party system this election cycle, from the inside.

Now we understand the Rules are arranged to prevent any such notion and the popular vote becomes an exercise in futility, if the powers wish to overturn the popular vote.

So, yes, I think it will be a slow process but there will need to be a Third Party, if this rules religion can not be corrected to favor the people’s voice and vote, over the entrenched office holders of Party mafia.
