Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump renewed a call for tougher U.S. border security following Tuesday's deadly attacks in Brussels, and suggested torture could be an effective technique to gain information to thwart future attacks.
"As president ... I would be very, very tough on the borders, and I would be not allowing certain people to come into this country without absolute perfect documentation," Trump said.
The billionaire businessman said waterboarding would be a "fine" way to gather information in an effort to prevent such attacks if it was legalized.
"If they could expand the laws, I would do a lot more than waterboarding. You have to get the information from these people," he told NBC.

Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton acknowledged Americans have a right to be frightened after a spate of recent attacks but said military leaders have found techniques like waterboarding are not effective.
“We’ve got to work this through consistent with our values,” she said on NBC, adding officials “do not need to resort to torture, but they are going to need more hel
Trump is right; the other idiots are wrong.
It’s funny how people still think Trump is a Leftist when he is unapologetically condemning their sacred cow, Islam. Unlike the rest of the GOP-e, he doesn’t pretend to condemn Islam and then shift the focus; he is going to beat it into the MSM’s head that Islam is evil.
Funny how libs always bring up ‘our values’ when they clearly do not have any. Godless...
The left is going to brown their depends over Trump’s words. Fortunately, Trump’s popularity is just going to rise over this.
Hillary wants to give Obamacare to Illegals and terrorists
Would truth serum work ? Or it that just a thing of the fiction novels ?
After a city gets vaporized or thousands are killed in a chemical/bioligical attack, all these ‘civil’ nuances and ‘this is not who we are’ dialoge are going to flatly rejected.
The only thing that is concerning is that Trump is the only one standing up.
Not really....When Obama signed the Executive Order for “being kind” to terrorists....Hayden himself said it didn’t mean waterboarding couldn’t be reinstated.
“This is very CONCERNING”
I’ll say. Why aren’t we attacking?
WE KNOW WHERE THEY ARE!
If I knew that 31 of my friends would be murdered in the next day or so, and I could find out by getting info out of a captured terrorist, then I’d use every means at my disposal to get that information.
I have been listening to NBC this morning and Matt Lauer makes me want to barf. I listened as he let Hildabeast go on for 7 uninterrupted minutes quoting platitude after platitude.
Then he heard from Trump, and this article is an accurate representation of that conversation. Mat and Savannah Guthrie made leading questions to him on waterboarding, torture, and asked him to make specific statements to these questions (not even mentioned to Clinton)
To my delight, he answered forcefully, and deliberately. He did not evade, and was not led by these two clowns. He IMO used them like a springboard to tell the world, as he ignored their wishes, and went further. HE said the mastermind should be turned over to the Military, and treated as a terrorist. That waterboarding, or torture, or worse should be used, according to law, and dissed Savannah Guthrie, stating that information is time sensitive, and all avenues must be pursued for that information.
Hooray...and about darn time.
Wouldn’t we all ....
Basically anything that worked.
Why is that so hard to understand?
I’d try everything that was ‘supposed to work’ and then I’d improvise.
Trump’s foreign policy is his campaign policy: They hit us, then we hit them back and harder.
Many are sub-human IMO so improvisation is a must.
