And as Pat pointed out last week, if the GOPe is successful in trashing who they hate in 2016, as they did with 1964 and later in 1976, it could bring on the kind of revolution that ushered in Reagan in 1980.

Also, the difference with Goldwater is Goldwater adopted a self-defeating slogan of “extremism in defense of liberty is no vice” which set the table for the Left to win. I don’t see Trump coming up with self-defeating slogans and strategies like that.

A core problem is career politicians who are apparently per se corrupt. The GOP since the 60’s has shown itself to be more interested in their own political future than America’s future. It is way past time for the GOP as we know it to dissolve. One way to do that would be force term limits via a constitutional amendment.

Keep drinking the Kool-aid. Trump is in this for only himself. There is not an altruistic bone in his body.

It is at least delicious that in having to attempt to defeat the apparition of their own creation (Trump, due to stiffing the base forever,) they are forced to consider how to best support Cruz, who they hate only slightly less.

Good!

DEATH TO THE UNIPARTY!

“...My money is on the latter...”

I think you have the odds right; the solidification of the elitist vision and design to impose third world living standards for the bottom 99% has been in the pipeline for decades and their well laid globalist plans could very well be about to bear fruit.

I pray that we are wrong. Perhaps McCarthy was actually a prophet.

Trump is America’s only chance and he faces tough tough odds.

The establishment is spending million here in FL to take down Trump, and they are working for and with Cruz.
I had one person tell me this morning that the establishment wants trump to win and they have Cruz.
Course when it is pointed out how some in the establishment wants Cruz, have spent millions to defeat trump and would vote for Clinton there is silence

One million donation in the late 1980’s to help Guiliani save the NYC Veteran’s Day parade is pure selfishness?

I am not convinced.

“Wonder how many of the defectors are Freepers, threatening to not vote or to vote for the traitor Clintoon. “

Hundreds out of many thousands, but we all know who most of them are.

Gotta love the hypocracy of these bastards. For years they order us to fall in line, hold our noses and vote for the candidate they pre-selected for us. The moment we take control and offer up our candidate they cut and run.

"Fully 116 members of the GOP’s national security community, many of them veterans of Bush administrations, have signed an open letter threatening that, if Trump is nominated, they will all desert, and some will defect – to Hillary Clinton!

So 116 members of our national security "community" would vote for an unindicted felon, who herself has shown utter disregard for US national security by her actions.

The US has truly become a banana republic.

Let's not forget what (she and) her husband did as President, either.

“But Trump, who is self-funding his campaign”

BIGGEST LIE in the history of politics.

DT loaned his campaign $ and raised $ from donors (look at that red donor button on his website).

IF he’s the nominee he will be raising $ with GOPe and have super PACS so he will be OWNED just like everyone else he has slammed. He will also REPAY himself all $ he supposedly self-funded.

He’s a CON man and his supporters are marks.

So what? where do you think the money he loaned out comes from? It comes from him.

He has said that he will take in small donations from PEOPLE, since that doesn’t not influence policy like large donations from Donors of Companies.

We need to ramp up donations now that he is under fire, and even more when we get into the general election when up to a billion dollars will be spent.

So far he has done great fiscally managing his campaign (spending little money in comparison). The criticism however is that he may not be spending enough and needs to spend more.

He is what he thinks he needs to be to fool people into supporting him. This is a game to him and all the Trump supporters are being duped.

Rednecks, crackers, hillbillies, hausfraus, shut-ins, pea-pickers - everybody that's got to jump when somebody else blows the whistle. They don't know it yet, but they're all gonna be 'Fighters for Fuller'. They're mine! I own 'em! They think like I do. Only they're even more stupid than I am, so I gotta think for 'em. You think the GOPe would get behind Trump if he's the nominee? That doesn't seem to be their plan.
