Agree 100%. Try to get away. Try to avoid. Do NOT tell them you have a firearm. That only comes out when all else fails, and you never telegraph the fact you have it.
Wow. Colorado is a shall issue state but its about 160.00 and you have to bring proof you passed a gun class which is about another 150.00. Of course its money well spent....
He waited too long to shoot and needs more range time, but all in all a happy ending! I just wish he and his wife weren’t injured so badly before he took action.

In the early 90s, I had a guy who looked like an NBA power forward tell me to give him my money at 2:30 in the morning at 2nd and Spruce. That's 4 blocks from this location and a block away from an ATM where a Camden County prosecutor took a bullet in the back of the head. I had barely got my shirt up and hand on the butt of my .38 revolver before this guy made a spin move and vaporized.
Dude was blazing fast. If he'd a kept at me, I think I would have been screwed. After that, It was always hands on in a pocket in that area.
After he’s been knocked to the ground, and his wife is being assaulted, the time for retreat has passed, IMO.
Draw, aim, and fire would be the correct response.

I used to live about a mile from there in South Philly....3rd and Mifflin. Then, Washington Ave and the railroad tracks were the dividing line. Although that area was largely black, then, there didn't seem to be much to fear. I walked there frequently; played ball on empty lots.

Even being wounded by a .45, your going wish you were dead. One victim who took a hit and survived, said it was like getting hit by a speeding Cadillac.

It's really a shock when the young perps attacking an old couple turn out to be white, I'm surprised the 'blackliesmatter' crowd don't have a franchise fee on mugging old white couples.
