Wolf Blitzer and his fellow moderators questioned the winner of the past three nominating contests over everything from his unreleased tax returns to his horrendous polling numbers among Hispanics.
Trump, though, remained largely calm throughout the night, giving nearly as good as he got during two-plus hours on the Houston stage. He didn't win every individual skirmish, but with more likely victories awaiting him on Super Tuesday, he won enough to leave Texas in the same position that he arrived: as the clear front-runner.

He held them off. The problem with Cruz and Rubio is that they went over the top and it became obvious to everyone what was happening. IMHO it backfired on them big time. The post debate polls are reflecting it.
Trump won the nomination tonight and every one knows it.
No one scored a KO against him. He remains the prohibitive front-runner going into ST.
Slate HOPES Trump won.
I like to see Washington Post do a Fact checker on Rubio
Cruz got slammed on Libya Lie
Seem like Trump's answers matched Kasich on North Korea and China
Rubio doesn't know the Israeli Palestine conflict is over Real Estate?
Cruz just give off I don't like, Trust or going to vote for you look.
Yeah they are all toast. It is why we are hearing all the lamentations from the women tonight.
What a idiot
Or... “Commie Slate thinks Trump won.”
He is the most lib on the stage.
The Cubans got schlonged. The wimps had to team up to try to get Trump and they still lost.
No, he actually didn’t. He got battered, kicked back and forth between Cruz and Rubio. He had a pretty bad night.
Trump proved tonight that he can win the General. He took continuous fire from both sides as well as some from the moderators and he stayed calm, answered his accusers and stayed above their mud slinging.
Neither Cruz nor Rubio would have fared as well in Trump’s place. In fact, they both sounded like children at least part of the time and they were part of the attack team.
I notice there is no mention of the four companies Trump ran into the ground by going bankrupt! Guess that bit of news doesn’t fit the narrative, does it?
Don’t underestimate Trump’s cultists’s fantasies. They think Trump would destroy Hillary. Trump’s progressive attacks will not work against Hillary or any other dem.
Did you notice that he ran out of patience finally after Wolfie seemed to be singling him out, “Answer me these questions three ..”.
At that point Frik and Frak were on either side of him and looking at him like he was food.
So he said, “Hey, wait a second!” That made him human I thought. And Blitzer backed off.
The numbers say he can’t win the general.
He got battered heavily and didn’t do well in response to it. Cruz scored a couple of good points when he talekd about the media eating up the Republican nominee having to defend himself on a fraud case and when he tlked aobut how Donald can’t prosecute the case against Hillary because of his donations to the Clinton Foundation.
Rubio scored with the hit on The Don for employing illegal aliens (completely true, BTW) — although that would have been even stronger had he noted that Trump is currently using illegal workers to build his hotel in DC.
I guess when he says he’ll let the “good ones” back in, he means the ones who work for him.
Every candidate but Trump promised to release their tax returns — both Ted and Marco said they’d do it within the next few days — but Trump falsely claimed he “can’t” release his because he’s being audited. (Being audited does not prevent him from releasing his returns.) That he’s been audited for 12 years in a row, as he said, doesn’t speak well of him. What’s the red flag that has caused him to be audited, and why doesn’t he want us to see it?
His responses on most everything else were either repetitive, weak, or both.
I came away thinking the same thing. If an independent were watching, they saw a far more reasonable candidate in Trump and a couple of of petulant children at his sides.
Only four? That’s a really low failure rate for a billionaire.
