I cannot bear to think how thick and rich is the Dem Opp Research file on Trump.

Careful, your inner Hillary is reaching out.

They were ridiculous. Looked like a bunch of junior high kids arguing in the lunch room. The Gov. tried to stay above the fray, and did a decent job. I'll vote for any of them over Hitlery.

My wife mentioned a Cruz/Rubio or Rubio/Cruz ticket. Wonder what that would do for Hispanic vote.

Can’t you see our enemies are now pushing Trump? You think they will be in the general? Not a chance in hell. They know most people aren’t going to stomach this guy. He is a total idiot. I didn’t realize how much of one he was until tonight. I’m going to have to vote for someone I can’t stand. The only one who would be worse is the mailman’s son. God help us.

Do you seriously think Slate would prefer Cruz or Rubio? Of course they’re rooting for Trump, because they know he’s the most vulnerable candidate in November.

Couple of brain surgeons on CNN a few minutes ago said Rubio hit a knockout when he brought up the Polish workers that helped build the Trump Tower, saying they didn’t get paid enough and some were illegals. But unless Rubio can find a couple of them to badmouth Trump the claim will go no-where. It happened 33 years ago so good luck finding one. Before the Florida primary Trump should put his investigators on little marco’s well-known affair with the staffer when he was Florida Sec of State. That’s when he committed fraud by using a state VISA card to fly him and her around the country. If Trump wants to press this Rubio is finished as a candidate. I suspect that’s what Romney had on him four years ago when he decided not have him as his VP.

No, he actually didn't. He got battered, kicked back and forth between Cruz and Rubio. He had a pretty bad night.

Since you are obviously convinced that Trump lost, and since the only purpose of these debates is to improve one's standing in the election, it stands to reason that you believe that this will cost Trump in the next round of primaries. Given that, rather than just a blanket statement such as "he had a pretty bad night", how much do you think this will cost him? How many states do you see him losing on Tuesday, that he otherwise would have won? In other words, there is a very good test of whether or not your impression is correct or not, and it will occur very shortly.

Personally, I think Trump won, although barely, since he is already dominating this race so thoroughly that he has little to gain (other than the presidency, which is looking increasingly likely). I think he may lose Texas, barely, to Cruz, but because of tonight, I think he is up to about 30/70 to win Texas, which should end Cruz' ill-conceived run. The other states should be easy wins for the future President. What are your predictions, given your convictions about this debate?

I think at least some are beginning to learn. Gotcha debate antics aren’t going to defeat Trump. Trump even when he does less than stellar goes out the next day and clarifies and moves the primary race forward. He holds more 10-20 thousand people rallies. Also at this point Trump has been attacked so often in so many ways that have failed it has given him a bit of invulnerability. Also just today China comes out and “warns the US” in reaction to Trump’s Nevada win and Mexico’s previous Presidente attacks not Rubio, not Cruz but Trump. Trump is a master of getting his enemies right where he wants them.

Rubio and Cruz can make all kind of technical points but no one seriously thinks Trump is weak on immigration, or the second amendment. They have a bit more to go on with abortion but even then Trump has signed on to defund planned parenthood over abortion and promised evangelicals that he will not betray them and I frankly believe him. Trump call him what you like he doesn’t back away from controversial positions. He could’ve saved himself a lot of heat by just changing a few of his positions to accommodate what others say “political reality” is. He not only refuses to take that route he goes out and defends eminent domain in a nuanced fashion. (I still remember when that was considered a good thing in the eyes of the elite.)

Trump will go into the SEC primary and win most of the board easily. One reason is he’s already banked more vote than any other candidate. No candidate has more dedicated and certain to vote for him voters than Trump. In Nevada for example late deciders went for Rubio the problem is there weren’t enough of them to prevent Trump winning in a blowout and that number is shrinking daily. Trump is now moving up to 40% in many of the state polls. A new Virginia poll shows him breaking 40% leading Rubio by 14 points. I’m going tomorrow to vote Trump absentee. I want this race over. Two less than 1 term Senators who have not passed any legislation of note are not ready to be President.

I’m voting Trump because I think its time to try a private sector approach to government and if nothing else Trump will be a kick to the head of a political status quo that is well deserved and long over due.

Trump is not the most vulnerable candidate in November.

Hillary Clinton is. Guys, buy a program for heaven’s sake.

LOO, just teasing, but he hasn’t even started on her yet and is beating her in polls.

He’ll do to her what he has done to the Republican candidates.

He drop kicked the grey haired radio guy. “Nobody listens to your program. No really, look at his ratings.”

He and Carson had the best lines of the night. He also slapped the Chica good too.

“He is the most liberal candidate left running in the GOP not to mention the biggest”.

The hell he is. That distinction goes to Kasich. And tell me how many “liberals want to build a wall on the Mexico border and stop the flow of Muslims coming into the country. How many liberals are for the 2nd amendment. Cruz badmouthing Trump for giving to democrats and republicans (the republicans he never mentions), when he was a businessman is pathetic. How many jobs has Cruz ever made in his life? He’s been in politics since he was 18 years old, blabbering to his queer buddies in college how he was going to be the president one day.

Trump is the only non-politician, non-member of “the political class” in the race, both parties. FReepers and tea-partiers have long been begging for someone who isn’t a politician or a lawyer to break the stranglehold “the political class” has had on us for decades.

Finally, one comes along and appears poised to do just that, and half of the people here rage with hate for him.

I don’t get it.

I found that really discusting of Trump. Made him seem like that dictator from Venezuela that has since assumed room temperature.

Yet Ted Cruz (14:30) into this video says he will endorse Rubio over Trump:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FX5uCMKk8ko

Rubio was registered as a federal lobbyist at one point. He sold his house in some shady political deal and changed his vote in Florida. Another Washington insider do nothing Scamnesty supporter.
