Ted Cruz is not humble or arrogant but SMARMY is the right word for it. As what was said on here, the electability of Goldwater and the likability of Nixon.
I think he is a good man but there (2) things - #1 hes had bad advisors - (2) he doesnt have the economic slill set needed - give him time - hes not going away
Damn, why did I hire that idiot beck!
Cruz is a good, honorable man. I support him fully.
Really nice article...and true. Sadly, be prepared for all sort sof incoming.
Primary Season is like that...and it is not just limited to one or two sets of supporters. Sadly, all of them have that element amongst them...and that’s the way it is in primaries. Lots of passion and lost of emotion.
I support Ted Cruz for the Presidency because I believe, despite what detractors may say, that his record shows that he has the best constitutional knowledge and commitment, and the best experience, demeanor and faith for the job.
But I also see reality around me and should he not make it to the nomination, I am prepared to support whomever does. At this point that would most likely be Trump.

Harvard and humility don’t go together IMO.
He’s so humble, he gives victory speeches when he comes in third place.
I amire the hell out of Ted Cruz.
Not interested in ginning up any internal anger against him.
He’s a decent accomplished man and was my guy before Trump stepped in.
Think he and I would get along great at a BBQ.
He would make a great Supreme Court Justice.
If you’re a Trump supporter, I would encourage you to show Cruz his due respect as a great American and champion for the Freeper cause.
I do.
Go Trump Go!
Good article. Thanks. Revives my hope for a Trump/Cruz ticket.
Humble in a narcissistic holier-than-thou sort of way, maybe...
This guy didn’t just magically appear, his personality is well known.
I don’t need a humble President. I need a mean SOB who will kick ass wherever and whenever its needed to get this country back on the rails again.Remember the Alamo, Remember the Maine, Remember Pearl Harbor, Remember the Twin Towers....! Remember the Democrats!!!
OMG. Cruz? “Humble”? That man is supremely arrogant in a phony “aw shucks” kind of way.
But none of the candidates is humble. A person could not, and would not, make himself candidate for President if truly humble.
People aren’t blind. One glance at Cruz pontificating on whatever subject belies your hypothesis that he even knows the meaning of humble.
It's a truly sad state of affairs that a good man, who has been fighting for his country for years and years, has been personally cannibalized for the political aspirations of one man who did nothing but feather his own nest during the same time period....and another man who swore he would never support amnesty to get a job in Washington and then helped build a monstrous amnesty bill.
And that the supporters of these men can't see anything wrong with that is even more tragic.
“I can tell you that Ted Cruz is the best candidate to uphold the Constitution and put the interests of the American people first.”
Ted Cruz is denouncing the Constitution and it’s prohibition of his eligibility due to his birth as a Canadian citizen, so this claim of his being a humble upholder of the Constitution is a cynical, sad, and often contemptuous falsehood and deception in direct defiance of the Constitution and anyone who would dare to enforce it. Ted Cruz also defied the Constitution when he assisted the Bush Administration with crafting the political and legal means to allow illegal immigrants to remain in the United States indefinitely. Now, those indiscretions have come back to haunt his political campaign even as he has come under criticism for some unethical political campaigning. So, this portrayal of Ted Cruz as a defender of the Constitution is belied by some of his current and past actions, despite the many positive contributions he has made with respect to the defense of 2nd Amendment rights and other issues of concern to conservatives.
TED CRUZ: U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, Hearing, 5/21/13:
"And I'd like to make a final point to those advocacy groups that are very engaged in this issue and rightly concerned about addressing our immigration system and, in particular, about addressing the situation for the 11 million who are currently in the shadows. If this amendment is adopted to the current bill, the effect would be that those 11 million under this current bill would still be eligible for RPI status. They would still be eligible for legal status and indeed, under the terms of the bill, they would be eligible for LPR status as well so that they are out of the shadows, which the proponents of this bill repeatedly point to as their principal objective to provide a legal status for those who are here illegally to be out of the shadows. This amendment would allow that happen, but what it would do is remove the pathway to citizenship so that there are real consequences that respect the rule of law and that treat legal immigrants with the fairness and respect they deserve. And a second point to those advocacy groups that are so passionately engaged. In my view, if this committee rejects this amendment, and I think everyone here views it as quite likely this committee will choose to reject this amendment, in my view, that decision will make it much, much more likely that this entire bill will fail in the House of Representatives. I don't want immigration reform to fail. I want immigration reform to pass. And so I would urge people of good faith on both sides of the aisle, if the objective is to pass common sense immigration reform that secures the borders, that improves legal immigration, and AMNESTY: that allows those who are here illegally to come in out of the shadows. Then we should look for areas of bipartisan agreement and compromised to come together. And this amendment, I believe, if this amendment were to pass, the chances of this bill passing into law would increase dramatically."
I would describe Ted Cruz in many ways, but “humble” isn’t one of them.
All this slanderous libel on a good man sickens me. If you have to push down a man just to get your lowly man to look tall you are backing the wrong man.
