MSNBC Host Tees Off on Feminists Who Support Hillary Clinton but Not Monica Lewinsky
The Blaze ^ | February 8, 2015 | Mike Opelka

Recent controversial statements from feminist icon Gloria Steinem and former Secretary of State Madeline Albright sparked MSNBC's Joe Scarborough to unleash a rant against feminists who did not stand up for people like Monica Lewinsky.

The "Morning Joe" panel was discussing a recent statement Steinem made on Bill Maher's HBO show (and her subsequent apology posted on Facebook) about young women who follow Bernie Sanders and Albright's warning of a "special place in hell" for women who do not help other women.

Scarborough began his rant with the question, "Where were these women in 1998 when a young 22-yr-old intern was taken advantage of in the Oval Office?"

As the live audience cheered and clapped, he added, "And, on top of that, Gloria Steinem wrote an op-ed in the New York Times in 1998, eviscerating Monica Lewinsky, Kathleen Willey and all these other people."

I’m living in an alternate universe. MSNBC is talking sense and respecting conservative values in this one. Who would’ve imagined it?

Morning Joe is by FAR the Best TV show about politics! They TALK about a subject for half the show, unlike F&F that talk for 2 minutes on IMPORTANT subjects!

Where were these women in 2008 when Sarah Palin was subjected to the most misogynistic attacks in modern American politics?

The lady next to him answered, “ Because they don’t know what decade it is.”

Someone will have to help me understand what she meant by that.

Well, Monica had it coming.
Juanita Broderick and others, not so much.

“Well, Monica had it coming.”

In more ways than one.

One of the only women from the Democratic party to defend Sarah Palin was Geraldine Ferraro. I respected that a lot.

You are right about that. We watch it religiously since Fox and Friends became more stupid than The Today Show if you imagine. They’ve done a great job this campaign season.

She thinks people evolve in such a way that it’s noticeable in their own lifetime.

Monica was victimized by evil Bill and Hillary. That’s she’s probably not too bright is not the issue. They destroyed her life.

Well, somebody ought to tell Gloria, that Madeline thinks there's a special place in hell for her.

Yeah, we don’t even expect rational coverage now. I was thinking the other day about how liberals mocked the “drill baby drill” mantra, as, in their view, it wouldn’t affect the price of gas by more than a couple of cents. It is now LESS THAN HALF!!! I filled up at $1.49 the other day.

Of course basic economics be damned when you have a narrative to follow.

Elaborate, please.

How, exactly, did a naive 22-year old intern have it coming?

Yep. Geraldine was a hard core leftist, but at least she wasn't a hypocrite about it.

Where am I? Did I wake up on another planet this morning?

Scarborough began his rant with the question, “Where were these women in 1998 when a young 22-yr-old intern was taken advantage of in the Oval Office?”

Where were all you XXsholes in 1998? Hindsight is 20/20?

I hate liberals.

22 years old is a consenting adult. Juanita Broderick was raped. See any difference?

Monica was victimized...

Bingo. Feminists would get all upset if a freshman student was hit on by her college professor. Feminists would get all upset if a rookie policewoman was hit on by her precinct commander.

Oh, wait, I'd better qualify that. No feminist outrage would occur if the professor or the commander were big-time liberals.
