Not many Muslims support Republicans, but those who do support Trump

Donald Trump wants to ban any more Muslims from entering the United States. Yet among Muslim Americans, he's the most popular Republican candidate for president â although that may say more about the rest of the GOP field than about Trump, given that he's polling "first" among Republicans with only 7.5 percent Muslim American support.
That's according to a new survey of Muslim Americans from the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), conducted among 2,000 Muslims in California, New York, Illinois, Florida, Texas, and Virginia. The survey found, perhaps unsurprisingly, that three-quarters of American Muslims support a Democrat. Of those, 52 percent support Clinton and 22 percent support Sanders.
But coming in a distant third, with about 7.5 percent support, is Donald Trump â more than every other Republican candidate combined.
Why Trump?
When I asked Ibrahim Hooper, CAIR's national communications director, how Trump had landed third in their poll, he let out a barking laugh.
"That's kinda what we wondered too!" he said.

Democrat Party: The Muslim’s Choice
Yep. Not so different than longtime Americans of Hispanic descent who are more opposed to open borders than the average American.
Muslims have not mind of their own ,they’re lead around by the nose by the Imams
CAIR is part of the Muslim Brotherhood, supportive of Sharia law. By their own mission, supporting Sharia is not compatible with the US Constitution. No wonder they are Democrats and not Republicans.
[ It probably has to do with long time assimilated Muslims who support Trump vs the new breed of imports which probably scares this original community. ]
My thought too, the new influx of radicals really scares the ones that escaped here from oppression and want their children to grow up American. Nothing probably scares them more than their own children getting radicalized by Obama’s “rape-ugees” they meet up with at Friday mosque services who then run off to another country and get killed.
Probably a lot of them from places like Egypt or maybe turkey who left there between the 50’s and the 70’s.
that, but the Muslims who believe in self-improvement and advancement instead of excuses see Trump as the hope and the way.
Talk about crossing the aisle! Probably, 7.5% of Muslims in this survey are MINO, or ‘cultrual’ Muslims.
Makes sense, the more liberal one is, the more likely to support Trump.
--------
I guess the conservative jihadi leaning Republicans will support Rubio and Cruz.
That sounds about right; 7.5 percent of Muslims in America might have an IQ above 83; and given the opportunity to quit islam for good and all, without getting their head lopped off, would willingly convert to something/anything more human.
He says that like its a good thing.....
CAIR is a lying Muslim Brotherhood front organization.
Anyone who refuses to use the term “radical Muslim” obviously thinks all Muslims are terrorists. It seems like a majority of US Muslims agree with that and are with the candidates who won’t use the term.
Of the rest, they may see a few things in Trump
* figure out how to tell who are good Muslims and who are not and keep the bad ones out and shutdown radical mosques (and bad press that comes with them). how could a good Muslim not like that?
* religious freedom. Trump has convinced many evangelicals that he will protect their freedom. Not that he’s the best Christian but that he’s likely to be the best at protecting religious freedom. Cruz and Rubio will also but can come across as biased toward Christians. So if you want religious freedom but are concerned about pro-Christian bias Trump is a rational choice.
* kicking ISIS butt. If Muslims are concerned about friends and relatives in the mid east, Trump comes across as the most likely to destroy ISIS (and other bad Muslims)
Both support Trump?
Vox again.
Muslim American is an oxymoron. You can be a “good” Muslim, or you can be a “good” American, but you cannot be both of them simultaneously. Mutual exclusives.
“Good” Muslims may, at a moment’s notice, suffer from “Sudden Jihadist Syndrome”, so they are not necessarily politically reliable. “Good” Americans, on the other hand, are not subject to this sudden change of personality and murderous, inflamed, and totally unreasoning rage.
I find it hard to believe the Muslims have not been listening to Trump say he’s sending them back. LOL!
