It was consistent with all the polls.

5,000 vote difference.

Trump was lucky to finish second. Had Carson, Huckabee, and Santorum not been in the race that’s another 14 points 2/3 of which likely earned by Cruz.

8 delegates to 7 to 6.

Cruz. Trump. Rubio.

Next state up in a week!

I think it’s awfully early for anyone to be taking a victory lap over Cruz’s miniscule eaking out of a delegate lead.

NR, I would think, had little to do with it.

It is NR and their ilk over the past years, that made Trump as popular as he was.

I’ve seen a few elections and I’m quite sure I’ve never witnessed the likes of an election like this where the same party tries with such vigor to destroy someone within the party. Usually that’s the job of the opposition party.

President Huckabee and President Santorum might not agree with National Review’s interpretation of events...

They seem to think they can win without the Trump voters, they think wrongly.

The "Fat Lady" won't be singing for at last a few weeks yet so how about a little slack?

Their guy will be Rubio, and everyone I know, Cruz and Trump voters alike agree, we will stay home.

I’d be willing to bet that only a tiny number of people in IA or elsewhere ever even heard of NR, much less know anything about their Trump Derangement Syndrome issue.

Self aggrandizement, will not increase paid subscriptions. For these children to be right, it would mean that a significant number of Iowans read a whole Trump bashing issue of a scarce periodical, and then decided to change their vote from Trump to someone else.

Chances of that happening are remote to say the least. Nobody but Media scum and those who were already congenital Trump haters would even bother to read such spew.

I seriously doubt it changed a vote.

Yeah, right. All 74 people in Iowa who subscribe to NR did this.

So the guy who was polling a close second on the day their life certain comes out finishes ... a close second ... And they are claiming credit...

One more reason for Kasich and Christie to show out in NH.

Stem the Rubio buzz and kill the GOPe.

yep Establishment Political Clowns always take credit for things they had nothing at all to do with.

If I am NRO I have to be asking myself why, despite the feverish support they spun out for Cruz and "greatest ground game in Iowa History", Cruz won by less then 6000 votes and has exactly 1 more delegate coming out of Iowa then either Trump or Rubio.

I get that Donald Trump's not a real conservative.

But how is Rich Lowry not part of the Washington Establishment?

Lowry goes on and on about being against the Establishment, and seems to be utterly unaware that to most people Establishment is exactly what he is.

Well perhaps Rich Lowry of NR fame has made a good point and did in fact play a big part in Trump’s failure to win the Iowa Cauc... I can’t even type it it sounds so unclean.

Anyway, Trump may be in his rights to post a bounty on MR. Rich Lowery and give us all something to do for the next seven days.
