Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump on Saturday presented a check for $100,000 to an organization that trains dogs for veterans with PTSD and mobility issues.
Trump gave the check to the Puppy Jake Foundation during a campaign rally in Davenport, Iowa, with Liberty University President Jerry Falwell, Jr.
Three dogs and Puppy Jake representatives came onstage to receive the donation...

On every Donald Trump thread, it’s as sure as the sun will rise in the east that you and/or your fellow Cruz supporters will show up to tell everyone why the world would have been a better place had Donald Trump had never been born and why Ted Cruz is the only one that can save the planet from certain doom.

From what I've heard from people who are involved in the process (volunteers that foster the dogs and are involved in their training for about the first year), that's about right. The dog itself is going to cost $1-2,000, plus another $1-2,000 for first year food, medicine (assuming nothing goes wrong), and supplies, and then they will probably work with professional trainers. Some of those dogs won't make the cut to go on to "college" to become a service dog (and I'd assume some who do won't graduate, but I've never been told that).
Would it be better in your mind that the money had not been raised?

Look at his history of helping INDIVIDUALS which is only becoming known since he is now runnning. People he has helped have come forward to tell of his help. It did not come from Donald’s mouth, but from theirs. His helping hand goes back decades and to me it shows the good heart of the man. I have no doubt that there are numerous stories we will never know about.
I knew someone a bit like Donald who made numerous gifts, all anonymously, who was considered a tightwad because nobody knew his true self. He didn’t care for them to know. He was a billionaire and people were nagging him incessantly for money for everything under the sun. He developed a hard outward persona somewhat as a protection, when in fact, he was very generous.
I wouldn’t worry about the amount. He is a giver. That is enough for me.
Anyone who knows him knows he has always loved the troops.
