He’s talking about private plans, portability, hsa. What he’s also saying is no one should be without care. We already address that with Medicaid to some degree but those not on that plan just show up at emergency rooms. I think it’s good Trump is willing to address the gaps and fraud. But when he says, in the article, he wants private plans, you shouldn’t go with the headline you have, dishonest.
You know, I must be one cold hearted “b”, because I think those without care don’t need it anyway. My property taxes already pay hospital for indigents, they get great care already...better than those who can supposedly afford it. No one has been without healthcare in this country. It is not a problem that needs fixing.
I think government needs to stay out of health care.

The problem is what Trump has also discussed from the beginning, at least since his speech in Arizona last summer, where he said these exact words, âSorry, conservatives, but we have to cover everyone.â
The problem here is, Trump does not know everything about health care. Compound that with people who also don't know, and that's where you run into big trouble.
Listen carefully. EVERYONE HAS BEEN COVERED SINCE THE 1970s. Indigents going into a hospital for care are evaluated by a social worker. If they don't have means to pay, they are set up on Medicaid. No, these folks do not have insurance, but they are covered.
Trump didn't know this. NOTHING in that department is going to change.
How is Trump going to achieve universal health care coverage without an Obamacare/Romneycare-style system?
I just covered this. It's a valid question, if and only if people were not getting health care. They have been getting it for over 40 years.
Technically even Obamacare isnât universal coverage, because you can opt out and pay the fine instead of getting coverage. How does Trump force coverage on people who donât want it or get coverage to people who want it but wonât/canât pay for it?
He doesn't. And if people don't have the funds to purchase insurance, they are still going to wind up on Medicaid just like they have for 40 years.
Universal coverage should not be a goal at all. Thatâs a big-government, nanny-state goal.
It's not a goal. It is already a reality.
There is no âconservativeâ way to achieve it. It is choosing to make people âequalâ instead of giving them an âequal opportunity.â The former is socialism, the latter is constitutional conservatism.
Look, don't take this the wrong way, but you really don't know what the situation is now. You're basing your beliefs on a false reality.
By putting people back to work, what happens? Fewer and few people will fall into this Medicaid category. As they obtain employment, they can obtain insurance through their employer.
Think if it this way. The 45 million uninsured, are still uninsured. The only way to reduce that number is to put people back to work. If you can't afford insurance premiums, you're not going to have insurance. It's that simple.
Obama claimed all those folks had no insurance. Well, he was right. That was very misleading though, because they were getting care. He played up the non-insurance issue, just to drive through State run Health Care, Obamacare.
He knew all along it wouldn't insure everyone. It was a great big scam to get socialized medicine here.
Under the replacement for Obamacare, the only thing that will change is there will be a much more robust private insurance availability. More affordable because of competition, more people will have coverage.
Those uninsured ranks will shrink. Free Markets at play.

So you are saying Donny isn’t a liberal, he’s just stupid? Kind of like Hillary isn’t crooked, she’s just incompetent?

Just because someone isn’t a expert in all aspects of health care, it doesn’t mean they are stupid.
Some of the most brilliant people around have gaps in their knowledge. They may be very inept in a daily routine normal people would function in easily.
Trump will have advisers and will be brought up to speed on this.
Remember, Ted has nowhere near the CEO skills of Trump, and yet you would afford him time to grow into the presidency.

Yeah and it's really insulting. Freepers are some of the most politically connected and politically astute citizens in the country and we who believe Trump will be good for the country and for conservatism are reduced (in some people's minds) to Trump fanboys. That's the real mass delusion.
When you ignore the facts that TRUMP (PRAISE BE TO HIS NAME!) 1. is Pro-Abortion
2. is for Kelo
3. is for government controlled single-payer healthcare system
4. won't fight for states rights where anything is concerned, especially Gay Marriage
5. wouldn't know the constitution if it bit him in the butt
6.is spouting off about how well he will work with the Democrats and it is good to be a little bit establishment
THEN YES, YOU ARE A TRUMP FAN-BOI!
Facts are facts!
And yes, if you believe you are a conservative, then yes, you are deluded.

Keep up the good work, teg_76. When the Trump swarm attacks you personally you know you've hit a nerve and when they cap their invective with "LOL" you know you have really struck home.
Congratulations on a great post!
I'll second that teg_76

You’re contradicting Trump and basing your own argument on your own false sense of reality. Like Obama, Trump is referring to universal insurance coverage for everybody, NOT charity care. The requirement that emergency rooms must treat everybody is NOT what Trump is referring to. If he was, he wouldn’t be talking about needing to change the system to achieve it. The word “coverage” doesn’t mean emergency room care, it means insurance.
Medicaid coverage is NOT just automatically available to everyone. There are strict requirements. That’s why Obamacare expanded Medicaid and why many states rejected the expansion and others, like RINO Kasich’s, signed onto it.
You’re right about one thing, Trump does not know everything about health care. But the whole basis of the Democrat party is ignorance about health care, the economy, the military and everything else. An ignorant president is not a good president. Trump supporters seem blindly optimistic that he’ll figure everything out eventually. I choose to support someone who already has things figured out.

Remember, Ted has nowhere near the CEO skills of Trump, and yet you would afford him time to grow into the presidency. The presidency is not a "CEO" job. They are not authoritarian rulers who control every aspect of the organization under them. Any experience working in government where compromise is necessary and you can't always get what you want is better preparation for the presidency than being a CEO.

“,,post what he actually said “
Sure, here’s what Trump said at the 1st debate (2015):
Bret Baier asked why Trump supported single-payer in 2000. Hereâs his answer.
“As far as single payer, it works in Canada. It works incredibly well in Scotland.”
If you like Obama”care,” you’ll like Trump”care.”

You’re dead wrong here.
If you have assets, you have to liquidate them.
If you don’t have assets and you don’t have the money, you go on Medicaid.
It’s that simple.

Fine, I'll be specific!
Not just a flip flop, a LIE! Years ago he stated who was a NBC and it is NOT what he says now, but what what the government tells those who are becoming naturalized citizens for the exam.
He know uses WEASEL WORD re his vote for TPA. Ditto for his stance on the H-1Bers.
He outright LIED to the populace of Texas, re his false claim that he and Heidi liquidated ALL of their assets to finance his Senatorial campaign. Instead, he took out TWO loans and took in BIG BUCKS donations.
He LIED about NOT knowing that he had dual citizenship.
Do you REALLY want me to go on?
To: JediJones
When,
exactly, did I ever post that?
I've been heavily involved in politics for a very long time and I'd wager for longer than it has just been an "interest" of yours.
Levin isn't quite as "pure" a Conservative as you imagine him to be. And I wonder IF you remember him, when he used to post here a lot.
You need to rethink your posts to me. :-)
