Yeah and it's really insulting. Freepers are some of the most politically connected and politically astute citizens in the country and we who believe Trump will be good for the country and for conservatism are reduced (in some people's minds) to Trump fanboys. That's the real mass delusion.

Trump appears to be the only conservative in the world according to his supporters. Everyone else is somehow a RINO, despite most of them never being a Democrat who supported partial-birth abortion and single payer health care.

Nick, Trump has proposed doing away with Obamacare.

He has advocated to open state borders so that insurance companies could compete nationwide. Currently they are bared from doing that by the states. They only allow certain companies to come in.

This would increase the providers in each area of the nation, spur competition for better pricing, and cause a diverse set of policies, as companies competed for market share.

This is a move away from single payer.

It is a move toward ten to 100 times the current number of payers.

This has been discussed since Trump decided to run in July

The single-payer canard is a vapor trail.

It’s untrue.

I'd like to see what he actually said.

I looked at his official website.

He has a few policy positions posted, all of which I agree with for the most part.

He does not have his policy on health care posted, however.

Can you provide a link or a citation to his current position?

Well they are open-borders... like i’ve said before , if immigration and trade aren’t dealt with in the way Trump will deal with them , nothing else will matter

Trump says more before breakfast that makes sense than the rest of them put together since this campaign began.

You can't trust Cruz; he lies his head off, yet you all believe that he "walks on water".

Chill.

If you want to make a point, get specific. Blanket, hyperbolic statements with no citation and no examples aren't convincing and aren't with the bandwidth used to post them.

And dear old Mark Levin isn't as "conservative" as you imagine he is.

OK, so, the only confirmed conservative so far is Trump? Good thing we discovered him or the fabled conservative would have been as rare a sight as the Sasquatch.

If you think Trump is conservative and Levin is not, you might want to give up politics as an interest. You're doing it wrong.

Only if you read at the same 4th grade level that he talks at.

Keep up the good work, teg_76. When the Trump swarm attacks you personally you know you've hit a nerve and when they cap their invective with "LOL" you know you have really struck home.

Congratulations on a great post!

The problem is what Trump has also discussed from the beginning, at least since his speech in Arizona last summer, where he said these exact words, “Sorry, conservatives, but we have to cover everyone.” How is Trump going to achieve universal health care coverage without an Obamacare/Romneycare-style system? Technically even Obamacare isn’t universal coverage, because you can opt out and pay the fine instead of getting coverage. How does Trump force coverage on people who don’t want it or get coverage to people who want it but won’t/can’t pay for it?

Universal coverage should not be a goal at all. That’s a big-government, nanny-state goal. There is no “conservative” way to achieve it. It is choosing to make people “equal” instead of giving them an “equal opportunity.” The former is socialism, the latter is constitutional conservatism.

My position is that if religious values and pro-life, anti-abortion values are not restored, nothing else will matter. Low birth rates kill nations. They inevitably lead to an immigrant invasion from the outside. There is no way to economically support a country that is aging without replacing itself through new births. People will always choose more immigration if the alternative is to kill the social welfare systems for the elderly.

It doesn’t matter what the next president does now on immigration. A future president will inevitably open the immigrant floodgates again as long as our birth rate continues to follow the pattern of Europe. They’re just a couple decades ahead of us.

It is a deep social sickness when a population thinks they’re better off killing their own babies than raising them up to repopulate their society with a new generation. Unless that problem is solved, the country is headed for disaster. And the first step in solving it is to outlaw abortion. Nothing would send a stronger signal to the entire society of the need to respect life than that.

You people rave that Trump’s not a conservative but I don’t think he claims to be. He’s as conservative as most Americans, not as much as others but he lives the American dream. Successful, billionaire, pro 2nd amendment, pro American interests, wants strong military, secure borders, etc.

I can’t imagine what else you people want. Don’t be taken in by those who swear by the Constitution but act in their own interests.

“Why isn’t Trump suing them?”
Because all Trump cares about is love?

Oh, and New York Times v. Sullivan requires a showing of actual malice, he’s a public figure and people say all kinds of hare-brained things during the primary silly season.

I can understand your point . The right here and right now dictate that we must stop illegal immigration/deport, as it is the most current pressing issue . You can outlaw abortion, but if the borders remain open , all will still be lost .
