Actually, I think I may have too much ammo. so I better shoot some of it up this week.
It is about having it with you when you need it and having it loaded in the mags ready to go.
If you have to find time digging it out of the cardboard box, finding the mags and then loading them, you lost the first battle.
When The Music Stops: How America’s Cities May Explode In Violence
It should be in the budget, ahead of “Entertainment”.
When you put a 4x4 under the floor where your ammo is stored because you worry all that weight will cause it all to fall through into the cellar, you might have too much ammo. Not that this is the case for anyone I may know, maybe.
The problem is that you can only carry so much of it. I have a couple thousand rounds and I can barely pick the case up.
Schlichter echoes what I’ve been saying here on FR for some time now.
400 million guns in the hands of law-abiding Americans by Dec. 31! WE CAN DO THIS!!!
And DON’T forget the ammo to feed ‘em!

I’m not planning on bugging out. I’m going to stay here and die on this hill, surrounded by spent brass, if necessary. So I’ll take any you don’t feel like carrying around. :-)
On my first Monday of Retirement, my buddy and I are going to the range this morning to expend a little ammo.
(indoor 100yd range!)
Mostly 5.56 & 45.
Replenishment will follow.
You better have a lot of help defending a static position by ones self is a losing proposition.
Lots of places are out of the “good stuff” (fast hollow points), but Gander Mountain mail order seems to be very well stocked.
Also, a recent test by “Lucky Gunner” of 117 handgun loads was very revealing. For example, in 9mm, some hollow points never expand in the body, others expand all the way to 7/10 of an inch.
The short of it is: the Africans are barely civilized and most are trained in the arts of thievery and get whitey. All of these chaotic events are led by Africans. Look at the president and the Lynch.
Thanks for posting. Very plausible scenario.
I was south of Baltimore when that order to stand down went out. Although the “stuff” hitting the fan was not near us, I could hear and see the lights of the city. What a horrible, horrible thing.
A pistol under my pillow, a shotgun on the floor, and prayers every night. My wife knew how bad it was, but I do not think the children had a grasp on it.
In my 50+ years I have only once EVER heard someone say that they had too much ammo. And that was because he was moving and actually lift the crates and boxes and load them on to the truck. Of course, that was also after 15 years of reloading and stockpiling as well.
Truth bump.
Worst feeling ever, running out of ammo before running out of targets.
