Donald J. Trump is not usually a candidate who invokes the words of evangelical voters. But on Sunday, he went to church in eastern Iowa, where he studied "humility," he later told attendees at a rally.
Mr. Trump sat for the entire service, which lasted over an hour, at First Presbyterian Church here, accompanied by Deborah Whitaker, whose son was killed in an accident shortly after returning from a tour of duty.
From the front of the church, the pastor acknowledged the presence of Mr. Trump, who sat in the fifth pew, with Ms. Whitaker to his right, sharing a book of prayer. When the collection plate was passed, Mr. Trump tossed in money; two crisp $50 bills peeked out from under a handful of singles minutes later.
He listened to a children's chorus and shook hands with people sitting behind him when it came time to offer greetings to others. Two of his security guards sat behind him, and his campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, and his spokeswoman, Hope Hicks, sat in the pew in front of him.
Mr. Trump, who sometimes reminds people of his Presbyterian faith, has nonetheless generally avoided speaking the language of the more-religious voters in the Iowa caucuses. But at a rally on Sunday, he mentioned attending church.
"We talked about humility in church today," Mr. Trump told the crowd. "I don't know if that was aimed at me, perhaps," he joked, drawing laughs.

I love the bit about the two crisp 50 dollar bills. He has a bit of Sinatra about him, that man. Together, you know, they paid the Central Park Jogger’s bills.

Any sermon on humility would make everyone of us take a deep gulp cuz there is no “standard humility” scale.
Thought it was a bit crass to have that in the article.
48% over 19% to Cruz. That is the number of NEW individuals who say they “will caucus” for the first time for TRUMP!
That is pretty astounding. If only half of them caucus, TRUMP wins.

Even as to what Obama has left in the collections plates, which of course we know was zip, because he only passes out other peoples money in chartable situations.
Of course it (the Book of Proverbs speaking on humility, written before Christ's birth) was "aimed specifically at" you, Donald.
It was also aimed at all of us!

There were four spontaneous cumbustions reported in the press core.

Me too, the church didn't even wait till the end of the month when they send out their monthly tithing report on who contributed and how much.........

How many more articles of Trump’s mythical “conservatism” is needed to dupe the voters that the wind sock had actually been transformed from a lifetime of LIEberalism? He’s running out of time.
Does that mean that all of those Christians weren't/aren't "REAL CHRISTIANS" or "bad" ones? Maybe to them, but NOT to GOD!
As a follow up to my prior comment, where did Cruz, Rubio and the other contenders go to church today and how much money did they drop in the pot?
And that also includes Sanders and Clinton..............
