Michelle Malkin: ‘My Base Is Fed Up with Fox’ News Channel; Murdoch ‘Treacherous Bedfellow’
Breitbart ^ | 01/17/15 | Gabreil Sherman

Now more than ever Fox needs a firm hand on the wheel. In many ways, the channel faces the same rebellion from the grassroots that's cleaving the GOP. "I can tell you, my base is fed up with Fox," conservative commentator Michelle Malkin told me. Malkin, who quit Fox as a contributor, actually goes after Murdoch for supporting immigration reform in her new book Sold Out (she calls him a "treacherous bedfellow"). Rush Limbaugh, whom Ailes first put on television in the early '90s, has said he "no longer watches cable news." A Limbaugh friend told me the dig was made explicitly about Fox.

Several other prominent conservatives I've spoken with grumble that Murdoch is pushing Fox to be openly hostile to Trump and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) 97% at the same time the channel boosts Establishment candidates, most prominently Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) 79% . "I've joked to people that they'll be doing a segment about kumquats in China and somehow they'll mention Rubio," one Cruz ally told me. Another conservative activist pointed out that Fox gave Rubio the first interview opportunity following Obama's Oval Office address on ISIS last month. Murdoch's Wall Street Journal, it should also be noted, has been one of the most aggressive Trump and Cruz critics.

What is this “Fox” of which she speaks?

I seem to remember my wife watching it nightly after work (religiously) but that petered out quickly after the first Republican debate and that b!tch Megyn something or other acting an ass.

pretty woman.

i stopped fox about 10 months ago.

too much yelling and arguing.

then i started to pay attention to the tone of the shows after FReepers told me it was a rino station.

they were right.

i miss kimberly on The Five though :) and Jedediah and that black woman on Outnumbered are missed too!!

Never found the greek one all that attractive. she’s on both shows, i think. at least sometimes on outnumbered.

I quit Special Report, The Five and all programming save early morning shows in the spring - they were blowing off Cruz, the snark about him.

We need new Cable News network—OANN could be the one—if we can get it out to all the cable network. I was hoping Glen Beck’s Blaze could be that outlet—until Beck when nuts. I hope Michelle might be able to put something together that would fill this need. After the first GOP Debate—where Megyn Kelly when on her “Nail Trump” mission—Fox tried to ne more of a control factor than a news outlet. We need a Tea Party News Cable network!

I agree. We stopped watching after Megan’s tirade.

I’m tired of her, oreillys ego/bullying, Juan, Geraldo and other Obama sycophants promoting liberalism in the guise of “fair and balanced”.

I’ll watch Hannity if he has interesting guest, and Bill Hemmer and Martha McCollum in the mornings, but that’s about it.

MeGYN will never be on at our house again. The bitch that killed FOX news.

Totally agree with her on Fox (and all the rest). I rarely watch more than 5 minutes in the morning and at night at the top of the hour. Just checking to see that the world didnt come to an end. I get cramps, gas, and dizziness if I watch any more than that.

yeah, Beck did go nuts didn’t he?

I would definitely support a real conservative station.

Megan acted like an ASS throughout that debate.

and she’s pretty, but i’ve seen many prettier gals on the streets of NYC.

I think they’re all GOPe now. Establishment types interesting in getting some of that second-tier afterglow Democrats give that quisling party.

I hardly watch cable at all, including the "news", Fox or otherwise. I check several different news feeds online though...

I still watch the 6pm news and fifteen minutes of Greta - the only professional in the bunch. That’s it; one hour and 15 minutes. Fox & Friends is a disaster; The Five is NOT funny; Bill O’Reilly is a pompous joke and Hannity is annoying. Megyn - a loudmouth tramp who should be pole dancing on 8th Avenue.

Can’t watch, either, and so appreciate Michelle’s clever, poignant articulation. Megyn Kelly brought the house of cards down for me. Perhaps I have her to thank for helping me sit back and analize what was gobbling up my evenings trying to sift through the muck to hear a smidge of conservatism ...

Malkin has hooked up with Levin...she now writes for Conservative Review. This us the GO TO place for us now. And I agree OANN is probably the best news. I just hate paying for it.

The Fox news channel has been taken over by no-clue producers and directors. It has become a dreary hair-on-fire, run-in-circles, scream-and-shout marathon. There are no grown-ups there who are dedicated to presenting news. And the views shows (O'Reilly, Kelley, Hannity, et al.) have become pimp-mobile caricatures of reason for the latest tragedy-du-jour featuring an endless cavalcade of caterwauling, sicko progressives. Pretty effing lame, in my opinion.

I mean, who actually cares what the he$$ progressives "think"? Thank God for freerepublic, eppc, pjmedia and a few others including Brietbart news.

Sadly, they’ve gone from “Fair & Balanced” to GOPe Biased...clear disdain for Cruz and to some extent Trump...clear faves for Christie, Rubio, Kasich...has to be coming down from the old man!

...has to be coming down from the old man!

The old man isn't running much, if any, of it anymore. His left wing sons have been running it and it's slipped decidedly left.
