Donald Trump has rented space at an Urbandale movie theater and will give Iowans free tickets to a showing of the Benghazi movie that critics of Hillary Clinton have been eagerly awaiting.

“Mr. Trump would like all Americans to know the truth about what happened at Benghazi,” the GOP presidential candidate’s Iowa co-chair Tana Goertz said Thursday night.

Trump will pay for the showing of “13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi” at 6 p.m. Friday at the Carmike Cobblestone 9 Theatre at 86th Street and Hickman Road, Goertz said.

“The theater is paid for. The tickets are paid for. You just have to RSVP,” she said.

The movie depicts the terrorist raid on the U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya on Sept. 11, 2012.

lolol. Do they have to sign a loyalty oath? Yes, nice. Don’t think it will gain him votes.

He should do this where ever he goes.
I support Cruz but you have to give it up for
the Donald and his team, they are media masters.

Come on. I wish I had the pic of Trump caressing the face of the Vet with no arms.

He clearly has respect for Vets.

Trump looms. More days of media soundbites on the road to destroying Hillary. He must have these ideas come to him in his dreams. He wakes up and ‘boom’ there is another media grabbing headline.

It will gain him lots of publicity, and will cause attention be given to the movie and flash the spotlight on Hitlery and the whole Benghazi issue all over again.

Another brilliant way of highlighting Hitlery failures of the past, and why she’s not qualified to be president. Also adds pressure on her and her campaign - chisels away at what little strength she may have.

Jeb Bush is spending about $800 per vote.

Trump just spent about $4.75 a vote.

Very shrewd move, Mr. Trump

I like a man who has the money and ‘schitzpa’ to do things like this. He has great ideas I haven’t seen in others, and he’d bring new and great ideas to the Presidency.. everything he’s done so far is good for the people and the country... I’m impressed with this move. He’s got the money and he has no qualms about sticking his neck out for the people.

“You need help. I hear Prozac works wonders.”

Or, perhaps more correctly, ‘cut the Prozac in half...’

;-)

It also brings the narrative to the issue where nobody comes anywhere close to Trump in commitment and passion. That's treatment of those who serve the nation, past and present.

Besides that, it's the right thing to do. Better to spend the money on that than advertising and consultants and focus groups.

This is a smaller theater so the cost wont be that much. Don’t know if he is taking all the rooms or what.

But even if he did this in larger theaters- 300 seats in one room at $8 is far less than an ad.

It would be a great thing to do in every city.

Well, I wonder about the cost benefits

Did the theater rental cost as much as TV ads? did not the subsequent free publicity out weigh the ad spots not actually run?

will Obama sic the IRS on him for not declaring the free publicity as unearned campaign income?

Trump is a “giver”... he gets enjoyment out of sharing and doing for others. In a time when jobs are scarce, people are hurting and the left has gone so far into oblivion... to find a man who cares and will give his talent, money, time and ideas... it’s a good sign he’d do the country a heap of good.

“”More days of media soundbites on the road to destroying Hillary””

I’ll bet she’s having apoplexy over this news. She’ll be afraid that he’s going to be doing it in every city he visits... Good - just what we need to push her over the edge! Good for Trump!!!
