On the Monday night edition of MSNBC's All In, longtime liberal columnist Jonathan Alter reacted to President Obama's executive actions on gun control by comparing it to President Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation in 1863 and remarking how heartbreaking it was for Obama to have met with the families of Sandy Hook victims and "see those six-year-olds stacked up like cord wood."
Host Chris Hayes began the segment with a number of soundbites from the President and Republican presidential candidates opposed to the move before remarking: "While the substantive reason to be concerned about guns seems clear, in a country where in 2015, at least 265 kids under the age of 18 picked up a firearm and accidentally shot themselves or someone else with that firearm, the politics of it seem less clear."

Taking away US Consitutional rights from US citizens is equal to giving US Constitution rights to slaves.
The executive actions previewed yesterday are practically meaningless.
Using the Emancipation Proclamation analogy it would be as though Lincoln announced that he was clarifying that slavery was still illegal in the North and legal in the South.
Harriet Tubman carried a gun. Guns freed the slaves, not the Emancipation Proclamation.
Like so many things coming out of this administration involving attempts by the megalomaniac and his sycophants to compare himself to great people, the comparison of his attempts to infringe upon the 2nd amendment to Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation is completely false and spurious.
What, then, about Holder, Ayres, Dohrn, and Davis’ actions in the 70s? Armed takeover, bombings, killing a cop-and conspiracy to kill a judge?

If he REALLY cared about kids in schools getting shot, he would make laws requiring schools to have armed teachers that could’ve stopped the nut who shot them.
Instead, the bloodthirsty Socialist ideals say that they should let as many kids as possible be killed while they wait 15 minutes for the police to arrive.
Think of the glee the demons that control the Democrats must’ve had when in the last century Socialist governments killed tens of millions of their own unarmed citizens.

Martha McCallum on FoxNews this morning was interviewing a gun regulations supporter.
McCallum asked him whether the new regs would stop typical mass killers and she specifically mentioned the gun violence in Chicago.
Id’ot said that many of the guns in south Chicago come from the rural areas in surrounding states. The new regs would cause those in rural areas to get background checks — before the guns end up in Chicago.
