Ted Cruz 'for a time such as this'
WND ^ | December 18, 2015 | Matt Barber

I’ve never formally endorsed a candidate in any presidential primary. This time the stakes are too high not to. Look around. The world is on fire and the party of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, not to mention the GOP’s Obama-enabling RINO establishment, are playing with gasoline.

And so, while he’s been among my top picks all along, I am now proud to publicly endorse for president of the United States Sen. Ted Cruz, the man who best personifies the anti-establishment, principle over perceived pragmatism, survival over political correctness mood of the American electorate. I believe, God willing, that Sen. Cruz, a constitutional stalwart and steadfast statesman, is here “for a time such as this.” He alone, in the spirit of Reagan v. Carter, can, in my estimation, mop the floor in the general election with Hillary Clinton (aka, Obama in a pantsuit).

Jesus warned: “If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand” (Mark 3:25). Nothing has borne out this reality in recent decades like that exasperating spectacle called the Republican presidential primary. These last few GOP horse races have been jam-packed with would-be conservative and faithfully Christian presidents who, after infighting with largely simpatico opponents, have canceled each other out, limped off to lick their wounds and left the perpetually underwhelmed GOP base to stay home and not vote for “imminently electable” establishment paragons like Presidents Dole, McCain and Romney. Divide and conquer. That’s how the “moderate” GOP establishment plays the primary.

Here`s hoping Rubio does a nosedive , am quite sure he will, mind you he will be propped up by the MSM.

I cant recall ever being so down on a candidate as I am right now for Rubio, I just feel he has utterly disgraced himself the last few days attacking Cruz

I have zero respect for Rubio

Marco Rubio is a despicable creature. And he’s already done a nose dive. Check the latest polls. Cruz is crushing him.

Rubio has been dropping in the polls for the last 2 weeks. Not badly, but it’s a bad time to be dropping at all. Cruz and Trump are both moving up. On the Dem(on) side, both Sanders and Hillary are moving up in support as more people are starting to pay attention.

Rubio’s dodge of the cromnibus vote is a minus for him too, not the move of a leader.

“And in Trump, here’s a lifelong Democrat and progressive”

Well, Steve, that marks you for a liar. Sorry.

These are dark times. Ted Cruz is a righteous man. As president, he'll shine bright. He'll light the path. He'll help make America that "shining city on a hill" once more.

I couldn't agree more.

Firstly I am not the author of this article, nor the secondary source.

2ndly, as I see it he didn’t really attack Trump, he just pointed to his past, then said “welcome to our side”.

Trump is good, Cruz is better, IMO.

I am emailing out every negative item I can find about Rubio and is lies to everyone I know that has mentioned they are looking at Rubio......they are changing their minds now.

I just can't like that little snarky self centered Rubio, he thinks he is just so damned slick.

No that doesn’t make him a liar. Trumps public statements put him left of center until the last couple of years. It’s a real concern.

If it wasn’t for that I would be firmly in Trump’s camp.

My distrust of Rubio began the minute he joined the gang of eight cretins plotting what they would do and how they would cover it up and defend it, all while working in darkness behind closed doors.

Next thing he did was to hop on over to Hannity to explain that, no, he didn’t do what we all knew he did, spinning like a top.

The wicked old American Constitution haters had taught him well, it seemed.

History: Not lifelong, but for a period of yime for sure

Trump’s political flip-flopping over the past quarter-century is best chronicled in the files of New York City’s Board of Elections, where the businessman’s assorted voter registration cards are stored. Here’s what they reveal:

* In July 1987, Trump first registered from his penthouse in Manhattan’s Trump Tower. He enrolled in the REPUBLICAN PARTY, listing his prior residence as his boyhood home in Jamaica Estates, Queens.

* Twelve years later, in October 1999, Trump dumped the GOP, and enrolled in the INDEPENDENCE PARTY.

* Less than two years later, in August 2001, Trump again changed his party enrollment. This time, he emerged as a member of the DEMOCRATIC PARTY.

* He lasted eight years as a Democrat. In September 2009, Trump changed his affiliation, this time returning to the REPUBLICAN PARTY.

December 21, 2012 when he again ditched the GOP. But instead of siding with a particular party, Trump checked off the box indicating I DO NOT WISH TO ENROLL IN A PARTY.

As far as “Progressive” is concerned, you be the judge:

Trump’s support of Kelo, Single payer healthcare, Ethanol subsidies, Planned Parenthood, confiscatory taxes on the rich, opposition of Medicare/Social Security reform and multiple donations to Democrat campaigns/causes over the years gives one pause.

Me either, but I just have to wonder... do most Americans want a righteous man anymore?
