Well, I’ll be!
I was looking in WM (VA) yesterday. Zip.
...or maybe Wal Mart management is finally cracking down on its employees conducting out the back door gouge sales of its ammo.
There hasn’t been anything but a few boxes of 60’s in East Texas for over three years.
I wish that was my Wal Mart. I like the CCI stuff. The Winchester 555 and 325 - I have enough of but it is pretty dirty ammo coming out of the box. As for the Remington Golden, my 22 semis don’t like it a bit. Dirty and doesn’t feed well IMO.
Here in NE FL our “local” WM has pretty much quit stocking both guns and ammo, claiming they can’t get any. I suspect a anti-gun store manager. In other news, the whole store is a mess too.
For the first time in my life, I now know people who have purchased enough ammo to make them (more-or-less) comfortable with their inventory for a very long time. They are "saturated," so to speak.

OK then
Interesting. I was so frustrated a couple of years ago at the difficulty of locating .22LR that I purchased several thousand Federal rounds via ArmsList. I’ll have to swing by my local Walmart to see if the drought is finally over. Sooner or later the manufacturers would catch up to the demand. The market will eventually respond if not thwarted by government policy!
Whoops, somebody forgot to control the flow.
I went to Cabela’s in Allen, Tx last night, and there were at least 10-15 people in line at the gun counter. Lots more were browsing the ammo, gun cleaning aisles, and accessories. Can’t imagine why.
Hasn’t happened in Richmond, yet.
I go through the ammo section whenever I’m there, hoping to get lucky.
I know why people are hoarding rimfire, you can’t make your own, unlike centerfire.
I think the ammo hoarders have all maxed out their CC’s.
They will still try to unload their stash at gun shows and online to the uninformed.
Say no to wrong prices on .22 ammo.
I found some of those Remington 555 round bulk boxes at my local WM. Picked up two of them. Didn’t really need to add to my current supply, but what the heck?
Fleet Farm in the Mpls. area also had .22 in bulk (330 pack) and several CCI and Winchester 100 packs on Thursday and Friday.
I am about to make my first firearms purchase ever (12 guage pump for the home), but I may have to get something in a 22 just to take advantage of the cheap prices.
