World Net Daily: GOP establishment to back Hillary if Trump nominee

'They want a puppet that they can control, Donald will never be that person'

Although Donald Trump has signed a pledge to support the Republican Party's nominee, that doesn't mean the party's establishment will support him, should he win the GOP presidential nod.

A report by the Hill suggests the big money Republican donors are actually looking to support Hillary Clinton for commander in chief if Trump is at the top of the GOP ticket. Yes, the Democrat Hillary Clinton could be getting millions of dollars from Republicans.

The website says: "In conversations over the past month, GOP establishment donors have confided to the Hill that for the first time in recent memory, they find themselves contemplating not supporting a Republican nominee for president."

When asked for whom he would cast his vote if the choices are only Mrs. Clinton and Trump, the former mayor of Los Angeles and a longtime Republican establishment figure, Dick Riordan, said: "I would probably go find a deserted island."

Actually, the establishment is too smart to give their position away this easily. Maybe this is the establishment pretending to distance themselves from Trump.

I can see Trump selling endorsements for the wall: “This mile brought to you by....”; which isn’t a bad idea, they pay for upkeep/cleanup /s

Back to point. With all the latest ‘revelations’ that the GOPe/RNC is ONLY worried about power (and $$$), I’m surprised there’s not more talk of ‘after the general, I’m switching to (I)’. KILL the party, it no longer represents the People, let alone its own base.

“Trump\Cruz or Cruz\Trump. Either way..we the people will win.”

Doubtful. Even assuming that these gentlemen would endeavor to do what they say they would do, they would be obstructed the whole way. There is still an entrenched CONgress, judiciary, bureaucracy, and msm who would do everything in their power to sabotage their efforts.

I say there is a better way. The way of self governance. I.e. You don’t wait for some damned to politician to lord it over you, you simply organize yourself and others to provide your own governance. For example, let’s say you think the government schools suck. I would heartily agree. On the one hand, you could spend countless hours and resources trying to elect school boards and politicians who will Somehow Make It All Better. OR You could could spend your time and resources homeschooling your kids, or volunteering to help at a private school, or just teaching your kids some useful life skills (other than how to put a condom on a cucumber). I.e. you could govern yourself.

Which approach do you think is more effective? Heck, you don’t even have to look that hard. Do you like the way the politicians are running the government schools with your money? We’ve seen the results. So why continue to throw time, effort, and resources into an electoral system that is so obviously failing to deliver?

They don’t need to control her: they already agree on the continuous, never ending expansion of government.

I Was thinking about this last night as to who would be the veep on a unity ticket, and I came to the same conclusion: marco. Complete political opportunist, checks the hispanic box, is of essentially the same kleptocratic political philosophy as piaps. That and since he has decided not to seek re-election to the senate, he is going to be unemployed. I don’t doubt that he would do well on K street, but I think he is more hungry for power than most.

Once the dance has been decided on, all that remains is choreography.

Trump supporters care.

It's not caring; it's desperation, fear, and lack of faith in conservative principles.

Let not your hearts be troubled about any undue influence of Goldman Sachs in the Cruz campaign or pro-Cruz SuperPACs, because it's truly insignificant.

People involved in energy interests, Christian outreach, and fellow conservatives are the predominant contributors to the Keep the Promise SuperPACs supporting Ted Cruz. Here is some inside information on major contributors to the Keep the Promise SuperPACs.

David Barton, an influential Christian author and activist, is taking charge of the leading super-PAC supporting Ted Cruz.

<...snip...>

Barton succeeds Toby Neugebauer, the co-founder of a Houston private-equity firm, Quantum Energy Partners, and a key Keep the Promise donor. In the statement, Neugebauer said he will remain involved with the super-PACs but that it had grown impractical to fulfill his leadership duties from his home in Puerto Rico.

Neugebauer helped jump-start the Keep the Promise super-PACs' fundraising in April with a $10 million check. Most of the rest of the money came from the families of Farris and Dan Wilks, brothers from Cisco, Texas who made a fortune in the fracking boom, and who gave $15 million in all; and from Robert Mercer, a Long Island scientist who is the co-CEO of Renaissance Technologies, one of the world's most successful quantitative hedge funds. Mercer gave $11 million.

Farris Wilks is a pastor at his church in Cisco, and his family has supported a large number of Christian groups, including Barton's Wallbuilders. Neugebauer directs some of his philanthropic giving through the Matthew 6:20 Foundation, named after the biblical verse: "But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal."

PAC Built by Ted Cruz Mega-Donors Gets Evangelical Leader

Robert Mercer, a major contributor mentioned in the above article, has been the target of radical, pro-illegal immigration activists in the past.
"A demonstration was outside the offices of an American citizen, Robert Mercer, who supports our U.S. Immigration Laws and the Candidates who support keeping our borders safe. However, these Illegal trespassers and their Marxist-Leftist-Union handlers want NO U.S. immigration laws -- for them --and Robert Mercer is 'the Enemy'."

Trespassers 'Say NO' U.S. Immigration Laws-For them (NYC) 7-10-15"

Robert Mercer is also a fan of free market economics, skeptical about the climate change hoax, and no fan of a tyrannical, politically motivated IRS which all fit perfectly with Cruz's conservative positions.

Separate from the SuperPACs, the largest percentage of small contributors of hard money to Cruz for President by a large margin are retired folks according to info compiled from FEC records. A few employees of GS likely show up on the long list of contributors, but that's to be expected as friends of the Cruz family and co-workers of Heidi. It's irrelevant considering the campaign has received more than 450,000 contributions originating from nearly half of the zip codes in America. The average of the donations is $73.

Trump supporters care. Period.

Clicking on a thread and assuming things about people, whom you have never met, is desperation, fear, and lack of faith in conservative principles.

Maybe. But Romney is my bet. Look at how many trial balons there have been. Then consider that all the Neocons will flock to him to avenge their humiliation at the hands of conservatives in 12.

They want revenge. What better way than to saddle America with two of the biggest leftists on the scene and rum our nose in it?

Now look at the trial balloon polling. His numbers added to Hillary outdo Trump. If the Uniparty runs Romney they get the money of the donors that hate both trump and the right of center types that will vote for him.

Win/win for the Uniparty. Lose/lose for America.

Why stop with the gop? It differs not at all from the rats. We have one party governance. Changing party registration to “I” isn’t going to change the fact that the choices on the ballot will continue to be uniparty R and uniparty D.

I think if you look a little deeper, you’ll see plenty of disgust with the current electoral political system. The question isn’t whether its broken, the question is what to do about it. You’ll see some of that debate even on this thread. Some are of the persuasion that we need to look for “purer” candidates and only vote conservatives into office. Others such as myself are for walking away from the electoral political system and practicing self governance instead, notwithstanding what the uniparty and its politicians do.

Let me tell you. If GS is involved anywhere that is cause fro a freak out. GS are comprised of people who are sociopaths who destroy everything in their wake. Don’t underestimate them. They are very, very bad news.

That is what it takes to be a Trump supporter; else one could not ignore the obvious signs that he has no intention of doing what he says, and is merely posturing with hyperbole to lead conservatives away from one of their own.

The GOP(e) didn't think there would be a revolt after shoving McCain and Romney down our throats the past two elections?

Guess what GOP(e)....shove one more, and I will vote for the most conservative candidate in '16 no matter what the affiliation. Libertarian, Gooseneck, or whatever party,

Obviously, you are not a Trump supporter. Great. I am. If you don’t like it, tough. Be a big person and accept the fact of life that everyone will not support who you support.

You have your opinion about things and I have mine. Let’s leave it at that. Your insults are childish and result in nothing but foolishness.

Move on. End it.
