A new poll by the Pew Research Center reveals significant levels of support for ISIS within the Muslim world. In 11 representative nation-states, up to 14 percent of the population has a favorable opinion of ISIS, and upwards of 62 percent "don't know" whether or not they have a favorable opinion of the Islamist group.
In Pakistan, a nuclear weapons state, only 28 percent of the public view ISIS unfavorably. By this overwhelming degree of either tacit support or tolerance for ISIS in the country, ISIS should be considered as a potential proxy nuclear weapons power via its linkages and support within Pakistan.
When broken down by ethnicity and religion, the results are equally troubling. In Israel, 4 percent of its Arab population - which equates to more than 66,000 individuals - have a favorable view of ISIS. For Gaza and the West Bank, 5 and 8 percent, respectively, also hold a favorable view of ISIS. In Nigeria, the ISIS favorability rating among the Muslim population soars to 20 percent. Another 12 percent of Muslims in Malaysia take a similar positive view of ISIS.
Substantial support for ISIS also exists among Malaysia's Buddhist population, where more than one third of respondents either view ISIS favorably or do not have a negative or positive opinion. Non-negligible proportions of Christians in Burkina Faso (5 percent) and Nigeria (7 percent) have a favorable view of ISIS, with ISIS unfavorability ratings surprisingly low at just 66 and 71 percent, respectively, among this cohort.

They should have polled the White House.
As all the elites tell us this is merely a small percentage of Muslims, we have nothing to be concerned about. Be prepared, pray for guidance.
I also predicted what Bush would do - that he would fight a Vietnam War in South Asia - which, of course, is exactly what he did.
Our situation now, of course, is immeasurably worse. We lack the force infrastructure, the cadres, to scale up rapidly to a force of sufficient size. We lack sealift. We lack, of course, a commander-in-chief fit for war leadership.
But, the need for the complete conquest and reconstruction of Arabia and Pakistan has not gone away, it in fact has become more urgent.
People did not believe then, and they do not believe now, that we can lose this war. THAT is our most urgent issue.
Also interesting that the further you get from Syria, the more positive the impression. Shows that press coverage is helping them, whereas actually seeing them up close is horrifying.
Their numbers for the Palestinian opinion seem suspect.
Are these the same moderate muslims we saw dancing in the streets after 9/11?
But of course ISIS is a fringe movement that has nothing to do with Islam. At least that is what our “leaders” keep telling us.
Yes. The problem is the western world doesn’t believe the moslems will carry through with that part if the koran that says, “kill or convert the infidel where you find them”.
lol @ the “Don’t know” people. That might as well count as a favorable.
That's quite close to my conservative number worldwide, since 911.
Based on 15-25% of all muslims are killers, given an opportunity. 300,000,000 is my worldwide guess based on 15%.
Since 1964, when the "Palestinians" were invented by Arafat and others, poll after poll by the killer cultures themselves consistently come up with 25% of all muslims endorse and support the terrorists in using mayhem and murder as their main tool of "persuasion."
...and in all muslim countries (and many western ones) after the Paris massacre...
So it has nothing to do with Islam? /sarcasm
I’ve always said from day one that we won’t do what must be done to win. And that’s to kill everyone of them. If you kill a father, you must kill the son to stop him from seeking revenge.
But, not only are we not doing that, we’re welcoming them here with open arms.
My only question, which I’ve never gotten an answer to, is why is Obama and thousands of others in power trying to destroy this country? My only answer I can come up with is “God’s will”.
Personally this is a good stat to explain why it’s a good idea to bomb the crap out of muslims no matter their status. Without support of the civilian population ISIS will crack, and crumble. Right now the civilian muslim is supportive, and totally enthralled with their cowardly heros whom wantonly gang up, and brutalize defenseless Christians, and others who don’t believe in barbarism.
Obama is wrong. Bomb the crap out of the civilians that support ISIS. They will not support ISIS using them as shields after a large number of them are blown to pieces like they have done to so many.
I agree with the rest of your reply except those parts where we take military action against nations like Pakistan (and soon Iran) that are armed with atomic weapons.
