The last few days, a new group of birthers has started to harass me: most of them Trump-supporters. The target of these new birthers? Ted Cruz, the senator from Texas.
These people tell me that Cruz is ineligible to be president because heâs supposedly not a ânatural born citizen.â When I then ask these folks why that is, they point at the constitution, which says only a ânatural born citizenâ can become president.
Great. However, that doesnât actually answer my question. The Constitution states that only a ânatural born citizenâ can become president, but doesnât actually explain what that is exactly.
However, the founding fathers did explain what they meant by it, and afterwards, there were several statues that explain it further. The point being: a natural born citizen is anyone born of an American parent, providing that the parent spent a certain amount of years in the United States as an adult.
Ted Cruzâs mother has lived in the U.S. for most of her life â both before and after Ted was born. As such, Ted is a natural born citizen, even though his mother gave birth in Canada.
Donât believe me? Just listen to this audioclip from Mark Levin.

If a Kenyan can be president, why not Cruz?
Any leftist that questions Cruz’ eligibility after supporting Obama needs a full on square 3rd degree blackbelt kick in the crotch.
Why are you starting this up again? No good comes of opening this can of worms.
My position is that if there are no rules for Obama, then there are no rules for us either.
Remember back in 2008 how concerned the media was about verifying Barack Obama’s history, his credentials and his eligibility to be president?
Me neither.
Embedded in the Naturalization Act of 1790 is a definition of “natural born citizen” i.e. “children of citizens of the United States”.
“the children of citizens of the United States that may be born beyond Sea, or out of the limits of the United States, shall be considered as natural born Citizens: provided, That the right of citizenship shall not descend to persons whose fathers have never been resident in the United States”.
Natural born citizenship did not descend from “just a parent”.
The time limitations were added subsequent to the writing of the Constitution.
Cruz detractors are getting desperate. They are afraid of a Cruz presidency. So they will come out with all sorts of wild claims. There is also an element of revenge from the Obama worshipers still upset that their idol's birth was questioned. They are like little kids.
That is what I have believed for 68 years.
This may be a problem for Cruz.
I have repeatedly said I will easily vote for Trump should he win the nomination.
But if I do it will be in spite of many of his supporters here, who really are turning in to an obnoxious lot willing to cut off their noses to spite their faces.
The liberal media hasn’t even begun to hammer on this issue yet
Obama has been stuffing the judiciary with Libs ever since Harry Reid suspended the filibuster.
I would not be at all surprised that if Cruz starts polling too well one of them will suddenly decide he is not “native born”.
I thought maybe these statues could explain it, but they aren't talking.
The delegate from Boar Tush there in the background is the most realistic of all.
Where is that Yeah, uh-huh right girl?
This post reeks....
I wonder if the Indonesian will vette Cruz off the RNC ticket, like Yeb’s brother should have done?
I expect that Ted Cruz’s mother’s passport and immigration records will not be destroyed unlike the Indonesian usurper’s...
The left is aware of this issue. They are deliberately keeping quiet, until Cruz is nominated, then they fill the media with it to spread doubt among the low-IQ public.
