"Washington is a script. Things do not happen spontaneously. We are made to think they are...I think that all of this was already arranged and agreed to before you and I heard a word of it..."
That's Rush Limbaugh's description on his show yesterday about the show now playing out in Washington DC with the anointing of Paul Ryan as Speaker of the House.
The supporters of Paul Ryan have their marching orders and their talking points for all us 'infidels' and 'non-believers' out there.
"Who do you want instead?" they chime in.
I have an answer for them. Its become obvious that only a few House Republicans have the guts to stand up to leadership. Boehner got elected twice in recent years with over 95 percent of the rank and file endorsing him.
The House Freedom Caucus has turned out to be a group dominated by noisemakers who are secretly pro-leadership Republicans.
But there are a handful of brave members in the House like Representative Thomas Massie of Kentucky. Massie isn't in that "Freedom Caucus", but I've watched him oppose Boehner and Company and earn a coveted place on their 'Spit List'.....
Glenn Beck spoke with Massie on his show yesterday and here's what Representative Massie had to say.
"I don't even want you to trust me. What I want you to do is look at who voted against John Boehner on January 6th. Compare that to the list of people today making noise.....There were only five of us actually who supported the motion to vacate the Speaker. And then, this is most important, Glenn, on October 29th there will be a vote in front of C-SPAN and God and country, where every member of Congress has to stand up and say who they're voting for, for Speaker. Pay attention....That day they have to choose between you and the establishment...."
He means it.
Call your members and tell em......
Let’a just do theright thing.
$h!tCan the hole $h!tPot of them!
Go back to our original Constitution of 1787 w/o any stinkin potus, supremes, congress + all those alphabet soup usele$$ agencies, etc.
Gunny G
Semper FIDELIS!
Wake Up!
*****
I wish. Amash would be good too.
He is my rep.
No Paulbots !
Massie and Amash are both Paulbots. Fail.
Amash will get the support of the Iranian Dictatorship, so at least he has that going for him.
1)Vacate it and leave it vacant! (supposedly this will result under in rules in someone off a list Boner submitted being acting Speaker, probably McCarthy, so yeah forget this one)
2)Joe Cannon, forget Newt, there is an ex GOP Speaker who got things done. Since everyone who heard some idiot say it on the radio tells me the Speaker doesn't need to be a member, I don't see why he has to be alive either. Being skeletal remains Cannon would single handily stop any Obama legislation from passing by just sitting there in the Speaker's chair refusing to recognize anyone.
3)Daffy Duck, it's time for a Black Speaker.
4)My Congressman, Luis Gutierrez (D), an opposition Speaker! Oh what fun. And I could run against him, a sitting Speaker, might be my ticket to becoming rich and famous, I could run a Trump style campaign and then write a book and some morons would buy it!
5)How about a Speaker as in the kind you use from the purpose of hearing things come out of your TV or Computer? The House shall chuse it's Speaker.
The one of the left, it has the controls. Looks like born leader to me.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He is a guy who who will do and say whatever Levin tells him to, no matter how illogical and ridiculous it sounds. That is what we need: Blind loyalty. No matter how dumb it might sound.
So what if he only gets 3 votes in the house? Just more proof it is all fixed by FNC.
Gohmert’s a good choice.
I like Gowdy too, but people seem to have some issues with him, regarding illegals amnesty.
To late
The. Negotiating is over
Thomas Massie would have been an excellent speaker. I proudly campaigned for him and have had several personal conversations with him. He is a wonderful down-to-earth guy and has the highest Constitutional rating of all the U.S. House.
