Brand New Fox News Poll Reveals A Brand New Candidate Surging To The Front–You’ll Love This

He had been in fifth place at 8 percent in the last Fox News poll after having been in third place at 10 percent in Fox's August poll.

As the latest poll shows the Republican presidential contest a neck-and-neck race between two men who have led the contest in recent weeks, a new name has risen to place third.

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, now has 10 percent support in a Fox News poll released Tuesday. He had been in fifth place at 8 percent in the last Fox News poll after having been in third place at 10 percent in Fox’s August poll.

The most recent poll showed Donald Trump holding his lead with 24 percent support, while Ben Carson was right behind Trump at 23 percent. No other candidate placed in double digits.

Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., was in fourth at 9 percent. Jeb Bush placed fifth at 8 percent. Carly Fiorina, who received a bump in support after last month’s debate, was tied with former Ark. Gov. Mike Huckabee at 5 percent. Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., had 3 percent support. Other candidates were at 1 percent or less.

Cruz last week said his actions have put distance between him and other members of the Republican pack.

“If you look to the records of all the Republican candidates there’s a big difference between my record and that of everyone else,” Cruz said. “If you ask, who has stood up to Washington? Who’s taken on not just Democrats, but taken on leaders in their own party? Republican leadership, whether was leading the fight to stop Obamacare? Whether it was leading the fight to stop executive amnesty?”

“You know at the last Republican debate in California, every Republican candidate stood up there and said, ‘we need to defund Planned Parenthood.’ But last week, when we had an epic drag down fight in Washington, not one of them showed up,” Cruz said.

I agree, everyone else is starting to learn from Trump, not to back down to the media and the PC police.

well... not everyone, but the real conservatives.

Agreed, he is looking a bit haggartly in his recent photos.

It looks like the long haul of traveling and campaigning is taking its toll on a 70 year old man.

Ted Cruz can and will hold his own against Hillary.

Besides she IS NOT at this point the shoe in front runner.

I thought Hill could have been easily beaten last night, but none of the Dems had the balls to take her out.

green = Good, RED = Bad, yellow = Mixed Ted Cruz Ben Carson Donald Trump
Budget, Spending & Debt green yellow yellow
Civil Liberties green green RED
Education green yellow green
Energy & Environment green yellow green
Foreign Policy & Defense green RED green
Free Market yellow yellow RED
Health Care & Entitlements green green RED
Immigration green RED green
Moral Issues green yellow yellow
Second Amendment green yellow yellow
Taxes, Economy & Trade green yellow yellow

Budget: Cruz has made massive financial deals, has put tens of thosuands of people to work, has run a billion dollar business, and protected a bottom line.  Next flight of fantasy...
Civil Liberties: Trump has said he'll round up and deport illegal immigrants, build a wall that is 60 feet tall along our border.  This results in his red marker on civil liberties.  No sale.
Free Market: The "FREE MARKET"...  Nothing in life is free.  The cost of this "FREE MARKET" has been tens of millions of U. S. jobs.  Trump wants to bring them back.  That warrants a red marker.  LOL
Health Care and Entitlements: Trump has proposed a private sector replacement of Obamacare.  He wants to reduce entitlements as part of getting the budget under control.  This red marker is simply proposterous.
Moral issues:  What moral issues?  Good grief.  Name one moral issue Trump has a problem with.
Second Amendment:  This is simply a fraud.  Trump has a paper on Second Amendment rights, and it's recognized as a good one.
Taxes, Economy, and Trade:  Trump's tax position is good.  His economic experience is second to very few U. S. Citizens.  His trade view are more solid than any other candidate's.

In Cruz's favor, his free market mark isn't deserved either.

Trump is the go to guy because of his economic experience.  He is solid on other issues as well, but second to illegal immigration, our national debt and related matters are vitally important and need to be addressed.  Trump is the only candidate with the experience necessary to do that.

Cruz supporters are pleased to drop this bomb on the forum.

It isn't an accurate display on Trump.  As such it's actually a smear on Cruz when his supporters tout it as a reason to support Cruz.  What they should be doing is pointing out the obvious flaws in this ranking.  And RANK is the proper word here....

This is your perception and it’s apparent you haven’t watched his life or read his books. He negotiates - that is called diplomacy. While these polls are fun to watch - I don’t put a lot of stock in them until the field narrows - or until it gets closer to the election. We still have a long way to go.

He’s looking tired.

This is great, but I’ve said before that saying that not one of the others showed up for the PP defunding in Congress is a bit disingenuous.

Donald Trump cannot do anything in the halls of Congress. He cannot ‘stand up to the Establishment’ in the political realm. He is a private citizen.

One other difference - all these politicians draw their incomes from the taxpayers. Even insider trading is legal for them!

Trump earns his money privately and gets put in jail is convicted of insider trading.

I would not read too much into these. In June Trump was at 60% "never will vote for" in the Fox Poll. Now he is at 18%

I have never seen a candidate as capable of turning around poll numbers as Trump. I cannot explain it but Trump just has "it" when it come to politics and media management.

It will permit Cruz to unilaterally discard the Iran ‘deal’ as his first official action as President.
Thanks to dimwits like Cruz the wheels are already in motion.

Voting for Corker could leave Israeli and or American blood on Cruz's hands long before you wake up from your wet dream fantasy.

I think even though he’s extremely well-known to the news junkies like us, we don’t realize how he’s still unknown to a lot of the more casual Republicans. They heard his name once during the Obamacare shutdown and that’s it. If all they know is he’s a “current Senator” that won’t play well. The more he gets his ongoing anti-establishment record out there, the more he will resonate. Then hopefully that’ll be enough for him to get over the “voting for me doesn’t prove you’re not racist” hump and pass Carson out.

He’s moving in the right direction, slowly but surely, just as he did with his Senate campaign.

He was written off then as a sure loser, too, but his unique campaign style worked...and it’s the same one he’s currently using.
