The largest Muslim civil rights group in the U.S. may have violated the federal tax code when its executive director last week called on retired pediatric neurosurgeon Ben Carson to drop out of the presidential race because of his comments about Muslims.
...
In calling for Carson to end his White House bid, Awad argued that Carsons comments were in violation of the Constitution which states that no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust of the United States.
But Fox News Megyn Kelly reported on Tuesday that Awads statement may put CAIR in violation of federal tax law.
As Kelly noted, the section of the Internal Revenue Code which sets rules for non-profit section 501(c)(3) states that such organizations are absolutely prohibited from directly or indirectly participating in, or intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for elective public office.

I’m sure CAIR is shaking in it’s boots.
CAIR is in bath house barry’s bath house.....
"Except CAIR or any organization we like that bashes Republicans".
Boy, I never thought I would agree with MG.
MG did go to law school and what CAIR did set off an alarm for her. MG is right in calling out CAIR. Hope she has good security though.
CAIR will have to call the White House to figure out how to manage this issue.
Talk talk talk....now what?
Yo!
Here’s one now.
The code seems pretty straightforward and on point.
But then again, when has the law mattered to such people? Never.
Another story that will go precisely nowhere. Much like Her Thighness’s email scandal.
We need a president who kick CAIR and the Muzzie Brohood out of the US and OUT OF OUR GOVERNMENT.
Would we have had NAZIs in our government during WWII?
This is a prime example of how far OFF BASE the so-called democratic party and RINOs have become.
I’m sure Holder’s Just-us Department and Daniel Werfel’s IRS are going to get right on this.
I see an invite to a beer summit at the White House in their future...

Did you mean MK? Or did I miss an MG in the article?
Sorry, I sure did. Thanks!
Thanks george76.
So, as pastor of a church I can’t call for Hillary to drop out?
Pull CAIR’s tax exempt status or even toss its leaders in jail and a new organization would be incorporated and back in business within a month.
Bring a RICO action against those terror-lovers.
